AP missed practice yesterday because of a family tragedy. Apparently his ex was dating some fuck head and she left the two year old with him and he beat the fuck out the kid. The mother should lose any custody she has, this man has assaulted her a couple times before and she leave the child alone with him. Hope this guy gets a big poker up his ass or a shank. Why are women so fucking stupid when it comes to domestic abuse?

Hope the little boy pulls through. The boyfriend I wish him as much pain & suffering for the rest of his miserable life.
What I don't understand is the statement that AP was going to be at practice today, WTF

This fills my heart with sadness. Regardless of what AP needs to do to deal with the situation, how in the hell do you beat a two year old child.

People, ugh.

Sad sad day, this fuckstick had a record over 9 pages long, with several domestic charges. It really is to bad. How do you strike a child, much less beat them to the point that they dont wake up again.

Makes my skin crawl, as a Dad my stomach aches when my kids fall or get hurt on accident. Some people must simply be soulless.

As for AP playing, its clearly obvious that he didnt have a relationship with this child, in fact the rumor around town here is AP just recently found out this child was his, which would make complete sense because Mother is in a not so nice apartment here in Sioux Falls.

One last tangent on the subject, I also thought AP's Dad's statement was very poorly worded this afternoon and one he probably regrets.

AP's Dad said "It is Adrian's son, but it is not Adrian Jr." In my interpretation saying, what a relief it wasnt Adrian Jr.

Sad Sad Story, no matter what relationship child had with AP.

Trgaic, no doubt about it. Sad, no doubt about it.

But, in my estimation, the anger is pointed in the wrong direction.....at least a little bit.

Yes, the monster that assaulted that kid deserves the worst kind of punishment. No doubt about it.

There are too many things wrong with this picture.....

It makes me sick to read about another professional athlete having a child out of wedlock. There are literally thousands of children out there fathered by professional athletes that do not live under the same roof as their Father. Thousands.

Multiple children with multiple mothers fathered by the same professional athlete. It's an unbelievable number and a brutal miscarriage of ethics and morals permeated throughout professional sports.

If Adrian Peterson is so devestated, if this loss is so crushing, why didn't this beloved child even live in the same State as his Father? Why didn't this child live closer to his Dad so his Dad could look after him?

How could a millionaire with more money and resources than the top 1% of people on Earth leave his child with a person who would associate with a thug who would assault a child?

How does someone, a millionaire with the resources to have a nanny, a live-in child care-giver, or around the clock supervision, leave a child in the care of someone so irresponsible?

Multiple children with multiple women. It's an awful situation and it's rampant in professional sports.

Does this tragedy happen if that child and his Mother lived in Minneapolis with Adrian? Maybe, but it's doubtful, and way less likely.

I have no problem with having multiple children with multiple women...as long as you take care of them...all of them!!

Adrain Peterson can afford a private eye to watch over his kids. Adrian Peterson can afford a nanny to watch over his kids. Adrian Peterson can afford to pay for housing for his kids and their Mothers in Minneapolis so he can be closer to and more protective of his kids.

This is a tragedy...for sure. But please don't let that poor little boy die without learning a little something about how his death could make the lives of future children a little bit better. Kids need protection, kids need their Fathers to look after them, kids need to live near their Fathers so they can be looked after and cared for. Kids need to know that the two people that brought them into this world will do whatever they can to make sure they are safe.

I appreciate your passion for the care of the kids in this world. Very commendable and I wish more shared this concern.

I do disagree with your "misplaced anger" and directing some of the blame towards AP. True, he has the resources to do all of what you said, but there may have been (and in most cases are) a court order granting the mother custody. If that is the case AP (and fathers across the country, athlete or not) had little to no option as to where the mother/kid lived and what they do and how the kid is cared for.

Throwing money at the situation will not always answer the problem or avoid what happened here. Should he have been more involved, probably. Would that have avoided what happened, who knows?

Again, your concern for the kids is admirable. I don't think throwing money at the problem or assigning blame outside of the monster who did this is the right answer, though.
