I like his chances at match play. That one or two bad swings you get in a round will not put him back as much. He likes to take chances and most of the time it works out.

Nice job agent:00hour

What do you think rolltide.

I love his chances Captain.... this sets up perfectly for his game. Match Play is much different from stroke play. You can definitely take more chances in Match Play.

Just sent me another text message and said that the guy he is now playing is one of the top 20 amateurs in the US. Grandson of Doc O'Neill who owns the Bridgewater Club here in Indy.

RELAX FLUFFY

FLUFFY

Great job my man, told you the hole would start looking bigger if you kept knocking em in there. Hope to hear more good news this afternoon. Match play has ALWAYS been the better format for me; I can forget about those foul balls very quickly and bounce back on the next hole:00hour

Damn Vinnie, you either have a great memory or you are the reason I can't get my dream job wish of being the fluffer.

Good one:142smilie

Good Job Chad--

You know-- its easy for anyone to put up their accomplishments after the fact--
-- but it takes a lot of confidence-character--and heart --to lay it on the line pre-event among your friends and peers.

I am certainly enjoying following your episodes.

keep trucking :toast:

Unreal! What a freaking draw I had, 2 unbelievable players. Got the last 2 champions of the Us Junior match play! WTF!

Anyway, made 7 birdies on this kid Cole this morning, including 2 of the 1st 4 which got me 3 up. He fought back but I was 3 up thru 9 when he bogeyed it after driving in the fairway bunker, his 2nd shot hit the lip and stayed in the trap, then from 180 he hit the flag on the fly but missed the 5 ft par putt.:com:
He birdied 10 and got to 2 down, and threw 3 more birdies at me on the back 9, but I matched all 3! I closed him out 2 and 1 on the 17th. He is a pre med student at George Washington. 1st class kid with a great head. It is dam rare to meet an 18 yr old with that kind of attitude. His Dad caddied, they were the only group to walk the course. He had 15 people in his gallery and they were vocal! Every time he did something they were cheering loud which was what I needed to get me fired up. It was like I was playing on the road! I was -4 thru 17 with 3 bogeys and 7 birdies.

So, it is 93 here, smoldering hot. I draw this Peter Oneil ****! I finish first 18 at 12:04 and find out my afternoon tee time is 12:30. Gee, thanks for the break! I walked 36 Monday, played 18 yest morning for the qualifier, then 18 this morning, I was more than exhausted. This Oneil kid shot 66 in the qualifier (bad news!). He is the poster child for my Dad has more money than he could ever spend. Silver spoon little shithead. Daddy owns the Bridgewater Club in Indy, homes START at 2.5 million. Also owns The Golf Preserve, the best practice facility I have ever seen. We get to the tee and he has his own cart. We are only a twosome so we SHOULD ride together but he is a little ****stick. Anyway, not a word was spoken the 1st 6 holes other than 'that is good' on 3 occasions. Not a single nice shot, good putt, nothing. I bogey #2 from 100 yards out middle of the fairaway, I 3-putt #3, and he birdies #4 the #1 handicap hole and I am quickly 3 down after 4.:scared I almost holed my tee shot on #5 the par 3 and rattled off 3 straight birdies to get back to 1 down (he also birdied #7). On #8, 345 yd par 4 he was 22 yards away, and I was 103! I laid back of some bunkers with my 3 wood because I can't fly them anyway. He hit right over them and almost on the green. I hit my 2nd shot to 3 ft, and he hit a bad shot to 30 ft. It is looking like I will get back to even until he shits it in from 30 ft out. Ball hits the back of the cup pops up in the air and goes in. I make mine and remain 1 down. He got to 2 up again after 12, and I couldn't recover. He pulled the same move on #13 when I was 5 ft for birdie and he was 40 and off the green, but he knocked it in and when I lipped out I was 3 down with 5 to play. I won #15 with a birdie, and #16 was our last hole. Par 5 582 yards. I hit Driver-Hybrid-and had 62 yards and hit my 3rd shot to 5 ft. He hit Driver 5 iron on the green and made the 20 ft eagle putt to close me out. He had 4 birdies and an eagle with no bogeys thru 16 holes. Not much I could do, I was -3 thru 16 and lost. All in all I played 33 holes -7 today and was extremely happy.

Thanks for all the well wishes guys it means a lot to me. Wish some of you could have been there but it was too fukcin hot anyway! Just ate 2 filets, 2 ears of corn and some zuchini. Beer #1 of 30 about to be had!
