So. Cal
My prayers are with you Hokie Fan(will say one right when I get done writing this)

But like another MJer said, most men can live more in a day than many in decades, I know I don't have to tell you this but while your fighting the good fight really live your life (if you know what I mean

I have been apart of a few forums before but MJs is the first community I feel like im apart of. I have a buddy on here and everytime we are together we talk about so and so saying this or that, but I feel like we are all a big community or even a dyfunctional family.
It first hit me when they said Master L died, it was like whoa hes a real person. I never talked to him, and now you tell me this, coming from someone I have talked to on a few occasions it is shocking and I really am sorry to hear about it.

Take care man,

Hokie,
I am sorry to hear about your recent health struggles?I am new to madjacks and any post that I have seen from you was good and many did give me a good laugh.
Try and stay positive?you can and will beat this. I had cancer a while back and am one of the many success stories?as rough as the chemo is on you know that you will get better and this will end up being a character building event in your life. Everyone is routing for you.

After you?re done your treatment?.then we will all do a celebratory bet?.

You are a funny guy, I don't even know you but if I did we would have a few at the corner bar. I know when you have what you have, everyone whats to tell you about what you should drink and eat and think, I lost my best friend, my Dad less than 2yrs ago and if you need to talk, we will. It's not about making it, it's not about living or dying,It's about today. Thanks for being brave and giving us a chance to feel.

Hokie,
John Wooden always talked about "making each day your masterpiece.".You can't do anything about yesterday. The door to the past has been shut and the key thrown away. You can do nothing about tomr.It has yet to come. However, tomr is in a large part determined by what you do today. So make today a masterpiece. You have control of that".
Hope all works out for you.A lot of people here in MJ's are concerned just by the responses here.
Woodens last line about "masterpieces" is
"if you sincerely try to do your best to make each day a masterpiece, angels can do no better".

hang in there, hokie. i just spent 2 years watching my dad fight lung cancer. he was 74 when he passed last week but it wasn't the cancer that beat him, it was his age and strength. he just got the news, once again, that the cancer was gone but he didn't have the strength to get back up after the battle. you're much younger and you can do it my friend, you can do it. just get your mind together and stay positive.

all the best.

Jack

Hokie,

I had known you were in this fight w/ cancer for a while, since the days at the other board that is now extinct...

I am very sorry to hear that round 2 is now upon you. I have no doubt you can beat this bitch again. You have always been a poster that I know when I open a thread of yours, I am going get a laugh or at least a big smile when I read it & man that shit is invaluable in life & I dont think I ever thanked you for it....till now......THANK YOU HOKIE. :mj06:

I wish there was more I could do than offer up a few prayers & tell you that you & your family will be in my thoughts. Be strong brother & when you need someone to lean on outside of your friends & family you know can always come to any & all of us @ the MJ community.
