No disappearing.
Seriously. Like I said -- I was out of town. No computer, and no desire to be on one.
I took one on the chin yesterday, including this rams-niners, no biggie. Anyway -- to get back on topic -- I never meant for this to be about Niners-Rams. I meant it to be about how lines are set and how to take advantage of that. Around MJ's its not just throwing out picks. Its about sharing techniques and info and all that.
Then, while trying to discuss some possible angles, we have people saying, "just go with your gut" and "this team is due". You know, if there is something to those techniques, I'll be the first one to see how they do and study some data about it.
[aside: In a sense, there's something to a "this team is due" angle. If a team can really perform well, but hasn't been, you're going to see a breakout game where they decimate the spread (maybe like the niners yesterday). Trying to predict when that's going to be, or if its really going to happen, is the problem.]
I'm looking forward to a "from the gut" play of the week.
Thanks to all for responding. GW -- we're cool.
