Our government really needs to stop commercial flights from West Africa from entering this country immediately. If ebola develops a natural reservoir here, we will never be able to distinguish between someone with the common cold & someone with ebola. The difference is that if you shake someone's hand who has ebola, you have a 60-85% chance of dying within 3 weeks. It has the potential to destroy our economy, kill vast quantities of civilians & healthcare providers, and be impossible to control if it is allowed to anchor itself. It may spread here regardless, but shouldn't we at least TRY to stop it? It is the most deadly disease on this planet. That is a fact. Why are we being so naive?

First, it is not the deadliest disease. ALS has a 100% mortality rate. You get it, you die, painfully. AIDS is the same, yet many men prefer to not wear condoms. Tell me more about the solution for this insanely horrible epidemic that only killed one person in our country so far and none that contracted the fucking thing domestically.

As far as this being part of the plan Raymond, am I to understand that you mean the "government conspiracy to withhold information and infect the population with Ebola"? I am curious as to how you can explain the fact that you think the commander in chief is so stupid, yet he was able to mastermind a plan that included an inconsequential physician to travel to Africa. Come in contact with the virus by chance. Lie about this said contact and get back into the country, to only infect a 26 year old nurse with an associates degree?
That, my friend, would require an abundant amount of genius from the black guy you called a dunce. Hmmmmmm.
Seems that it would take a lot less intelligence to believe that bullshit though. See, that makes much more sense to me.

Hope this helps,
FDC

I don't get it?

I mean you're very vocal in all the threads. I don't think I'm reading you wrong but I may be. There are many sides to this, it isn't about panic and generalizing the American people. You convey that this is the same as other outbreaks. I neither agree nor disagree until there is more information. Information and transparency are no longer the norm. That in itself is alarm to panic. There are sheep, there are shills, and there are those that want to gather information to make an educated decision. I have a plan with my family for a full out panic. That in itself could be generalized as overreaction. I think of it as a calming mechanism to ensure if something happens then my family doesn't panic but follows a plan.

I don't think it's time to say this is like all the other media hyped events.

ALS is not related to Ebola. Not close. AIDS is the same as what? Who is dying from AIDS? Why are saying men don't wear condoms? It's insane to discuss something that's killed thousands and spreading? Yet you argue one person...

What are you to say?

The fact that you even refer to it as an epidemic or an outbreak when it's nothing more than am anomaly in our country pretty much tells me it most certainly is over hyped.
If information gathering and researching a consequential family plan was the design of the media, that video blog, or issues calling it a conspiracy, than I would hazard to say we wouldn't be having a discussion about how easy or is to catch! Everyone would understand the same things I know to be scientifically correct about viruses and how they're spread. People would actually understand what hydrophobic and hydrophobic are and the affectation of the environment upon a virus. They're not free range and they can't jump forty times their body length. They would understand that viruses can't fly or hide when the lights come on and they most certainly don't prescribe to conspiracy theories.

I don't even know what you mean here. Is this directed at my post?

Yes i believe it was a reaction to it. Aids is from a virus yes most men don't even use the simplest form of prevention and it got how much media coverage this week? Yet you can't possibly fathom why I would say that this is overhyped? Seriously?

You change the argument. It is an epidemic in Africa. There is no screening process to mitigate risk of foreign entry right now. That's the post in this thread. Your rebuttal, I never said anything of that in my post. You aren't a Dr. Or a nurse regardless of who you date. I understand the terms you use and disagree that it can be secreted 40x their length. It's little so yeah, a sneeze or vomit or semen ejaculation is pretty much more than 40 times their length.

You don't really make an argument.

So you're answering for Betone? He just said it wasn't.

We are on a forum. Discussing a general topic in today's mainstream news. Why are you so worked up about it?
