Ah, that was it. Couldn't remember what they were specifically. I liked how the guy said he was happy they weren't for nukes, because now he doesn't feel so "creepy" for owning them. :mj07:

Rick..."I just don't have many people coming in looking for Russian launch keys"..

I'll give you $1500.00....

how about the Las Vegas Palace 5.00 chip.....

$6,000.00 value....

Customer" I'm here to sell my 5.00 poker chip ..only 8 left in existence!"

Chum Lee" I'll give you 5.00"

Old man.."I'll give you 3000.00"

customer" How about 3,000.00 and the rat pack statues!"

Old man" hmm, i'm asking 600.00 for them and only paid 100.00...DEAL!!"

customers outside..."3,000.00 ..I'm going to the casino....".......kurby kurby kurby :sadwave: :sadwave: :sadwave:

Our family really like this show....

I've only BEEN to a pawn shop one time and everything for sale in there was for MORE than the brand new item. WTF? kurby

Hopefully I'll never need their services.

No chit. Back in my early 20's, I thought I might be able to get a stereo cheap for my camaro. (yes I had a mullet too) Went to a pawn shop thinking I would get a deal on a stolen stereo, they were out of their mind with the prices. Never again, pawn shop people rank right up there with politicians.

Yeah, something about that show is addicting. I think I missed a lot of the early episodes, but I've been watching it regularly the last 5 or 6 weeks or so.

Rick seems to be a bit of a tightass with his prices, but the Old Man seems to be the biggest hardass of the bunch. I don't think I've ever seen him give anywhere near what the actual item was worth. If I walked in and he was behind the counter, I think I would ask for someone else. :142smilie

And yeah, I caught the casino crack by that guy at the end. Hilarious. Didn't he say something like, "Hey, I'm in Vegas. What else am I going to do with it?" That guy has GA written all over him.

Rick: "I'll give you hundred dollar bills". He says that to everyone he tries to rook, doesn't he?

Jack, u mentioned pawn shops. Pawn shops and people who go there all the time form a sort of counter-culture. my brother works next to one and does a lot of consulting for them on electronic items that they have no clue about. He's made a lot of easy cash buying stuff from people and reselling. People hard up for cash who don't really know what they have. I'm typing now on my new imac that a woman brought in last week. $450 in hundred dollar bills (+50) :mj07: People just light up when you talk i hundred dollar bills. That's why Rick does it. The next few months, we see people bringing in their 'tax money' purchases that they are now trying to turn over because they've already blown through their return. I'm trying to get my brother to write a book on all the characters he has encountered and things he has seen over the years.

There was a thread over at 2+2 last month showing the link to an ebay auction that was selling TJ Cloutier's WSOP Bracelet that he pawned and never went back and got it. :142smilie

I think Cake Poker bought it and gave it back to him. He'll probably pawn it again.
