OK Gregg I should have left liberal element out--I apologize--but it makes me want to pull my hair out when people can't grasp the simplest concept and make their agenda's fit the crime.
Matt-- lets put this in a diff light.
Suppose the people you by your fish products from- tripled their price from 2001. How could you stay in business and make profit if you did not triple your price to consumer?--and since they tripled it from 2001 would you think their reason was because of Iraq war--why not Afgan war--why not global warming?
Now if you can tie in either wars as primary reason for increase in price of oil over supply/demand then I will listen but you will have to explain to me why oil production has increased since start of war to convince me--and here are world wide production tables--- from 2001 to present
http://www.mees.com/Energy_Tables/crude2001.htm
I can't see where this admin or any admin has much control on price of oil--I will say this admin contributed to record profits via tax breaks along with record gas/oil consumption--and if the oil companies use just half of what they promise they'll use of those profits for alternative power and oil exploration (instead of lining pockets of excutives) I think it will be worthwhile in long run.
