Nice bike. Both the wife and I ride. I have a 05 Electra Glide Classic and she rides a a 06 883L Sportster. I am in the middle of putting a 1250 conversion on the wifes bike.

Wifes bike as of now in the middle of the tear down. Only have to pull pistons and rejet carb. The new pistons and jugs should be delivered in about a week.

Very nice Bike Bubba! We also looked at a 883 for my wife and may get one in the future. Nice thing about owning a bike here in Florida I can ride nearly all year around. No snow just got to worry about the rain.
Happy New Year

bubbas' wife is getting new jugs.

sweet!

At least she was in agreement with me on going bigger and not smaller.:D :D

Ricknjax...If you ever decide to get the wife a bike of her own go with the 1200. Not the 883. It will save you from trading in the bike and getting her a bigger one or doing the conversion on it.
I thought I was doing the wife a favor by getting her the smaller bike because she had never ridden before. That turned out to be wrong because once she got comfortable on the bike she realized how much power it didnt have.

Have you realized yet that HD stands for "Hundred Dollars" because that is the minimum you will spend everytime you walk into the dealership.

Yea I can see puchasing the bike was just the beginning of the spending. I think it means hundreds lol. Thanks for the advice on the 1200.
Gonna be in the 70's here the rest of the week. Sweet riding weather!

Nice bike DoubleDown.., Have you upgraded the speakers yet? The first thing I did was toss mine and put in a set of HogTunes. It made a huge difference on the sound quality.

Didn't know how big a difference they made with the new HARMON KARDON 80 watt stereo.

I see them for $ 199 for all 4. Is there somewhere that is cheaper ?? Love my integrated MP3 player. Getting 160 songs on a CD is AWESOME !!

'06 Electra Glide Ultra Classic
Glacier Pearl White with LOTS of chrome extras !!

That is a sweet bike doubleD.

Yea bubba I make it to the Harley shop about every weekend now. Lots of little goodies I would like to get but the first thing was some new pegs and shifter as the stock ones had to go. I only bought 2 pair of the pegs as I have decided to have the controls moved forward. Probably going to do that next month. Other odds and ends like CHrome license plate holder, front fenders extension and my lady biker friend at work gave me a guardian bell. Love the bike!! It has given my life some new meaning if you can understand that as I am sure you can.
Thanks

Rick,

Your Low Rider is NICE too !! My buddy that I work with, has an '04 black/bronze dyna low rider.

We ride to work whenever possible, and after work when it's above 50 !!

I've got about $ 5K in extras and chrome.
Accessory shopping is ADDICTIVE !!

I think the cost of the bike is just the downpayment for the EXTRAS !!:com:

Ricknjax..Those add-ons get addictive. As of now I am happy how my bike is set. (I can say that now because its 5 degrees outside..spring time is another story)

Sounds like your having a great time on your bike. When you get a chance go and participate in a poker run. You will have a great time. We run them all the time.
The wife and I entered the Lombardi Cancer run last year. It went from Milwaukee to GreenBay. There were 200 bikes that went. Not to bad for there first time having it. All of the bikes left at once and they shut down the expressway to let us all on. We were in the middle of the pack and it was one hell of a site when we crested a hill....nothing but bikes for as far as you could see. Plus we knew there were just as many bikes behind us. I think they will at least double the size of participants this year.

The wife and I have both realized that we should have gotten the bikes sooner. Even when I had a crappy day at work all it would take was to ride the LONG way home. If I hit a set of twistys..all the better.

You will save a ton of money if you buy the service manual and do the work yourself. The dealer wanted $400 to do the 10k service on my bike. I bought the manual and told the parts guy to give me everything I needed to do the service. Total price (including manual) was $98. The manual is set up so it walks you thru each step. Piece of cake.

Mine is due for the 5K check-up . I think I might just keep letting the dealer do the maintenance until my 2 year warranty runs out. Might save trouble later.

We have 14,200 members, and only 4 ride Harleys ?? WOW !!:00hour

They do not know what they are missing DoubleDown. When you buy a Harley you join a big family. I have found that out several times in just the last month. Went to the Auto Zone yesterday looking for a wrench that would fit a part I was puting on my bike and there was not one on the floor. Ask the manager if they had one behind the counter and he ask what the screw went on and told him my Harley. Turns out he also owned and found the allen wrench I needed in the open parts box and told me to just stick it in my pocket. As soon as I get all the new parts on my bike and the controls moved forward. I will post some pic's.

LOL DoubleD, Was not doing much just putting on the chrome fender extention I bought. Took the bike in tonight and dropped it off at Orange Park Harley to have the forward controls put on with the new pegs, shifter and brake pad I bought. I am little apprehensive. Hoping they do good work and do not screw it up.
Spring around the corner!:mj06:
