It is very disturbing to me that we are inviting Saudi students in the country while we make gray haired grandmothers take off their shoes to board an airplane!

The leadership of this country need a major overhaul.

Funny Story Stevie--on way to Las Vegas I set off machine twice --which got me a one on one invitation and full pat down. These guys don't miss a trick--had me undo my belt and then rescan that area to see if I was hinding anything metal behind it.
I was pretty impressed with search and by person giving it.

We are in bed with the Saudi government, I can't believe the way Our Government has treated Saudi Arabia before or after September 11th. The Saudi government is a clear and present threat to our security here at home, more than any country in the word. They harbor and breed terrorist and the funding is unlimited, supplied by us every day we put gas in our automobiles. This sick perverted relationship has been on going for to many years, with every administration in my lifetime. If you want to answer the question how could Sep 11th happen, take a look at our relationship with the Saudi's ,take a look at the people in our government, our people in the oil business that put $$$$'s over our security here at home. The similarities in relationships, this administration has with the NY Times, and the Saudi Government are this: both institutions on the surface appear to be enemies to the casual unsophisticated observer, but there is a covert underlining connection because of greed and power . There are people in all three of these institutions, that have big picture goals and visions,that don't include the health,wealth and safety of the America People. How could a country that spends Billions on security and intelligence, allow Sept 11th to happen ? Someone on our side,wasn't on our side. A person or persons that have our trust, did not and do not deserve it. Who's looking out for you and me ?

Dogs, I can understand why you think what you do , the picture you paint is 90% illuminated. On the out side, the fringe, there are factions in the Saudi government that will never embrace America, it's not in their nature. The are moving our way on the surface,they have to but when the Saudi's come to town, I'm not leaving the key under the mat. About 5:00 pm on Sept 11th, I sat stunned with a group of guys that I have known for 10 to 20 years. Not knowing what I know now, I said this: The people who did this were educated and trained in America, someone in our government let us down . I believe it more every day. There is nothing that anyone can say to change my thinking. The Saudi's are sophisticated,it's not the Saudi students we have to worry about, it's the people that are supposed to be watching these guys we need to worry about. If the tax payers of America get their moneys worth, we could let all the Saudi students we wanted to in the Country.

It's all very logical. Increase the number of rich Saudi students while making it more difficult for middle-class Americans to attend college (as shown in the the other thread). a few things make you shake your head.....

1)why are these jihadi`s told to "live it up like non-muslim`s" right before blowing themselves to martyrdom?......

you gotta love the irony....the reward for blowing yourself up in the name of islam, is a brief reprieve from living under islams suffocating laws......

2)these guys were apparently early on in their planning....and we apparently lost out on a bigger haul of bad guys because the media...again.....prematurely ran the story...

with the wrong info,btw...they had them blowing up the holland tunnel......or was it holland(the country)?...who fooking knows...

it's hard to know if it was a hair-brained plan by the jihadis, or just hair-brained reporting by the media.....whatever,the result is probably identical in both cases....

3)anybody remember last year all the hysteria over searching bags and backpacks in the n.y.c. subways?.....the stink the aclu made?

now this story, along with the sarin gas one from a month or so ago.

Gw, although you are not a Neoco you are a Neocon's best friend you still bring up an interesting aspect. I take the tunnels to work every day. Riding the subway for years I hav ebeen surprised that no one has blown up a subway yet. Never mind the people with backpacks. We have people with large suitcases riding. No search. No nothing. Not even the threat of a search. It would be the easiest thing for a terrorist to do. In all my years riding the rails we were only searched once and that was when the Democratic Convention was in town.
I find it amazing that some can justify the Occupation of Iraq while we don't have the money to secure our subways.

Not that I'm in bed with Saudi's Smurph it's more- the enemy of my enemy is my friend--I am not naive enough to think Saudi is not chuncked full of terrorist supporters--therefore I as said before--untill we can can decide who is friend or foe I am for stopping all visa's from middle east--in fact I would go as far as deporting all muslims that are not citizens--then the only ones we'd have to worry about is certain element in our society that have nothing-care about nothing--and are prone to muslim conversions that give them some sense of being--quite easy to breed hate among those with nothing and have distain for those that do. After all Allah is president of the it not my fault alumni.

I have no factual data to back this up, but my assumption would be that a guy of Arab descent pounding down shots of absinthe in a club and doing lines of blow off a stripper's chest would probably seem less likely to be an Islamic fundamentalist terrorist than a guy who sits in the corner wearing white robes and reading the Koran. So perhaps its to help act as a guise to deter suspicions? Or else maybe it's just to help make him seem more like Saul?

I would worry hell of a lot more about our rails and subways then that old gas shells they found in Iraq. That it ends up they new about few years back. We can't protect all our rails, borders and people here at home. That job is just about impossible. It also will take ton of more cash then we have to spend right now. Why? Because were spending to much in places like Iraq looking for old weapons. And we still don't understand that over 50% of Iraqi's want us out. It comes down to priority's. Home should be first.
