Anybody Ever Make their Own Wine?

A friend of a friend does this, and apparently it smells awful. No issue if you have a basement or a garage to do it in, though. I'm told it tastes great.

I know this is an old thread, but I heard a guy talking about making dandelion wine recently. People also make watermelon wine around here too.

I knew my dad my dandelion wine way back when but I never tasted it I was only about 12.

He made grape wine one year and the bottles exploded in the back room. That was 40 years ago and I'll never forget that mess!!

It's way easier than beer. You buy a bucket of fresh grape juice (you pick the type of grape), put it in a glass jug, cork it with a special bung that lets it release pressure, and wait a month.

You have to have a cork (bung) that allows the pressure to release.

Knowing what I do about raw grape juice, that must have been one nasty ass mess.
