It's a public forum chief. I think that qualifies as having to do with me, being that I am a tax paying member of the public. I am glad you find my post to be childish when you are the one that somehow turned this into some type of Marvel Comic. The insult you made was a geographical stereotype, which makes it childish. Since you were the one diagramming sentences, you should note that the subject of the sentence was the insult, not you my vain friend.
Besides, it is my business as I am on the other side of your argument and I don't hunt and never have. Nothing you have said so far makes much sense to be quite honest with you. You have done nothing but sling insults at people that are on the other side of the argument and haven't made a single statement relative to the discussion yet. Your argument seems to be that anyone that doesn't agree with you and lives anywhere south of St. Louis is an uneducated sodomite, so in keeping with that...............blow me. How's that for childish Father Manning?

I make no sense?? You must be high or confused or something. My position in this thread is that HUNTING HAND RAISE DEER OR ANY ANIMAL INSIDE OF A PEN IS WRONG & A HORRIBLE PRACTICE.

Now numerous times in this thread I said I can respect responsible/ethical hunters, eg. 6'5 despite being opposed to hunting in general. I despise pure trophy hunters & these scum that hunt inside of enclosures.

Secondly, seeing how I was born & raised in Texas & spent a good chuck of my adult life in South Carolina & love both areas & its people why I would supposedly be blindly biased against the south is beyond my knowledge. It's an impossibility. In fact I have been trying to talk my wife into moving back to Charleston, SC this very week.

I LOVE THE SOUTH. I will grant you as a native Texan I am not especially found of Oklahomans, but that has nothing to do with anything concerning this thread.

This guy was not even part of the debate & he comes into the thread attacking me calling me queer since I dont like hunting etc....& you have a problem w/ me pointing out how stupid that looks.

I think you need to re-read the thread & see I was not the one attacking, just defending my position. I make perfect sense & you are wrong in your conclusions of my stance.

FDC you completely misread my post. I never meant that hunters have a greater responsiblity to the earth than anyone else. Where exactly did I say that?

I have planted many gardens in my life. What does raising a canteloupe have to do with killing an animal? Although I've never done it, I venture to guess that it would be a lot harder for some people to shoot and skin an animal than to pluck some green beans from a plant.

Thanks for pointing out that I am not the moral consciense of the forum. I have never thought that I am. I was trying to praise hunters in my post, but you completely manipulated my words. I NEVER said people need to hunt down all their food to eat, give me a break. I did say they should have to do it once. I had to cut the heads off chickens when I was younger, and seeing them run around alive with no heads certainly changed my perspective.

What hobby that you partake in did I say was sad? I said it is sad that we are so removed from the process of life and death - the natural cycles of animal and plant food. I don't see how you can say we aren't removed from the process - we shop in stores where everything is packaged and most of the food is processed. It is not pretentious to think that, it is a fact. I shop in the same stores, and it makes me sad. If you want to call this evolution, fine. I think it is de-volution...we are less in our natural state now than we were long ago. Some of our natural instincts have been wiped away by technology.

I don't see how my post on hunting was hypocitical at all. I was simply trying to praise hunters for being more in touch with the earth, and thus being natural conservationists.

I have no idea how my post was vain and pretentious. If you knew me, you would realize that I am a very humble non-judgmental person. I don't really care what people do with their lives. To each his own. Obviously you just don't get me at all, which is part of the reason I asked you before to stop addressing me in your posts.

I'm done with this now. Pass all the judgment you want on my life choices - you don't know me, so it really doesn't bother me.

Good luck with your angst.

HH,
First let me say that I have no angst towards you or 3seconds, I want to very clear on that. I thought I was rather diligent in stating that I honestly think you are one of the more intelligent people on here and I was truly surprised by your comments, however I did not misread anything. I read what you put in print, if your meaning was different than my interpretation than that is fine. Saying that all people "should" do something is not merely reflection on your part but more of a direction and trust me when I tell you that it is human nature to pass judgment on others, my judgment of you is now and always has been very favorable. From the information I have(pictures and posts) you are a thoughtful attractive woman. That is my opinion of you in whole, nothing has changed. I think if you re-read your own post you might understand why I took your statements to say that "all meat eaters should have to hunt their food". That is the statement I have a problem with, singling out any faction of society because of their own personal practices whether they be hunters, smokers, anglers or whatever and stating that "they should" do something to feed themselves while vegans have no similar requirements is wrong and biased. Period.
Also, in reference to earlier posts where you asked me not to address you, you completely misunderstood everything I ever posted that even slightly referred to you, however you asked me to quit and I did not try to defend myself or explain it away as it was your interpretation and I didn't think it necessary to try to argue with you as you had already passed judgment on it and asked me to stop addressing you which I did without argument. I am sorry you think I am some miserable wretch that has nothing but hate for the world because I am truly far from it. I understand though that it is the nature of the beast when people have limited information as you and I don't know each other personally and you can only go on what you read, much like I just did. After re-reading your previous post and reading your latest one I understand your intention and thought process and appreciate the clarification now please understand how I could have come to the conclusion that I did, without any preconceived notions of my personal make up. Sorry about the conscience comment, sorry I said a damn thing honestly but I have a hard time shutting up some times. Quite often actually, its a weakness but at least I recognize it I guess. Anyway, I mean no harm to you and hope that you can understand that also.

Hope this helps,

FDC

3seconds,
I am not aware of anyone calling you a queer prior to you calling someone pathetic. I don't believe I ever read that anyone hunted penned animals, only what I thought to be sarcastic statement of Justin saying he just might take that opportunity. I agree that game farms are inhumane and sickening to me also. Please remember I DON'T HINT AT ALL. With that in mind, I truly don't want to get into some pissing contest with you because I actually like you(or your internet persona as I don't know you personally), but you were throwing out some pretty shitty names pretty early on. Dude, I am far from perfect and people take shit the wrong way on here all the time. I try not to but it is all in what I read. I would not have said a word(well thats probably impossible to be honest) had the topic not been degraded into the whole "you're wrong because you can't spell because". I give people crap about grammar all the time and it never gets old but mine is just as horrendous at times as the next guy, you however did go off subject first in my opinion, which is really meaningless anyway because who gives a crap what I think other than me? I know you don't and that is the way it should be and you did say hump your rifle and all that...............honestly sounded like a stereotype to me but whatever, it isn't important. You and I are usually on the same side of things and I don't want to start some rift between myself and two posters that I actually like so with that being said..........I apologize if you found my comments to be hurtful or wrong, I was merely stating my opinion which is what I thought we were allowed to do. I like Texas too, I moved down here to pursue a career in Bass fishing. While that may seem ridiculous and redneck or whatever to some it isn't to me and just think it is a bit wrong to perpetuate that whole stereotype. Cheers Bro, I just don't feel like griping about this stupid shit anymore I really don't. Again, I have no ill will toward anyone here except Sponge and certainly have no desire to have anyone have any towards me. Good luck and good fortune I am going fishing.

FDC, are you having some reading comprehension problems lately?

C'mon Chad,
I didn't misread anything. Re-read them, I may have misinterpreted their intent but that was because they misrepresented their intent with their own choice of words bro, but its all good. I respect them both enough to say fine and let it go, but I absolutely did not misREAD anything. Cheers, gotta got to the lake. Have a good one brother.

4) 1 wild turkey has been killed by hunters (eaten the same day it was killed).

While I personally cannot bring myself to hunt (have gone out twice in my life), I have no problem with it and it was a significant part of the culture I grew up in.

Now that I have that out of the way, I was just wondering: are there just no turkeys on your land, or is it just that that difficult to get one? I recall you having a turkey avatar for a while, so I assumed you were an avid hunter of them. I have been told that they are extraordinarly intelligent birds and are a very difficult hunt. Just curious as that number seemed low.

Read this slowly you dolt of a human. I said he was a vile & pathetic human being for saying he would hunt basically tame animals inside of a pen, NOT simply for being hunter.

God you really are dumb.

Its BECAUSE, not becuase.

You dont end sentences with prepositions either in the English language. (at)

Spend a little less time in the junkyard & humping your rifle & go back & get your G.E.D..

Maybe I would give a crap about spelling if I was writing a formal letter to a client some crap like that. But not here 3 pricks. Get a life.

Just got back from up north and Bambi gets to live for another week. Rained Thurs and Fri. Wife got out Sat morning for a few hours but didnt see anything. Found a couple of fresh rubs. Rut hasnt started yet so we will head back up next weekend.

Lots of grouse hunters out in the woods this weekend.

Woke up Fri morning and let the dog out and he started barking at the shed. I didnt pay no attention to him because I figured he chased a squirrel or something in there. Finally checked it out and there was a bird dog laying down in there. Brought him into the cabin and checked out his collar. Called the number on it and the owner was from Tennesse. He was at a motel about 30 miles away. From where he was hunting and to where the dog ended up was about 20 miles. When he came to get the dog I told him it was amazing the wolves didnt get the dog.
He was hunting and sent 3 dogs into the woods and only 2 came back. He figures this one went after a deer and thats why he got lost. (Heard 2 other stories like this..guess its not that uncommon)
