Looking for a new line of work??
i always and always have looked for additional ways to make money. that has never stopped since i was in highschool.

i have been self employed my entire working life with the exception of maybe 2 years, many moons ago.

i have obviously lost a lot of advertising revenue in the last 6 months which results in a lower bottom line of what i bring home so.........yes, additional opportunities i am looking for. maybe on a more serious note than in recent years.

this site, however, will remain here even if i lose all advertising revenue and that will not happen.

and i think it would be fun to sell cars.

i'll just sit in my little trailer at the lot and do this while i sell a car here and there :D

about 6 months ago i went to an auction with a dealer and it blew my mind how cheap the cars are at auction.

why not? :)

i gave a lot of thought about buying a bar about a year ago but people on here talked me right out of that business.

i researched franchises and they are OUT. none of them are worth a crap, so what i've read about them.

i want a lazy man's job, kinda like this one ;)
to go along with this one.

I know a few guys here that do it half ass. They just have some sort of "dealer's license" which is a very loose term. It's pretty much a fee they have to pay every so often, and they have to have a piece of property that is their "car lot". They never have cars on their car lots, but that's a requirement to get the license so they can go to the auctions. What they do now since people know they can get cars is go to the auctions for people or take them along, buy what their person wants, and charge them 500-1000 bucks over what they pay which is still, very often, a good deal. One of the guys buys the cars and gets the money from the person later. He also buys and sells a lot and upgrades in his own personal car until he has a very nice one to drive. The other one requires the money up front which means he has literally ZERO over head (his "car lot" is a small patch of blacktop out in the country owned by his grandfather).

I've actually thought about doing it myself. You do have to learn how to transfer titles and a little paperwork at the Clerk's office, but that is no big deal. You can also do it for your customers so they get credit for their current car as a type of trade in so they don't have to pay all the tax on their new purchase.

a carwash;)

I agree, my brother used to be a chief loan officer at a bank, and there were two guys that would get a loan for a carwash, those ones with a machine and 3 or 4 do it yourself stalls... They were making money hand over fist, sometimes 20-30 thousand a month during the winter time, and all they had to pay for was someone to do quarterly checkups on the place...Crazy money for very little work... We almost opened one ourselves, but the location was taken a couple days after our decision, by ANOTHER CARWSH,:sadwave: damn...
