Please tell me you didnt buy one. My son had a job selling them for awhile. While they really are good machines...they are way overpriced. If you really want one...keep telling them no and they will lower the price.

Whatever you do dont fall for the free room fresheners for giving up family and friends names. You dont get them unless the salesman makes there pitch to them in a certain amount of days.

No I haven't bought one yet but I'm thinking about it.
I did the no,no deal when he walk out the door his final price was $900 with the shampooer.
If he said $700 I think I would have bought one it was the sentria nice machine.

If you want to get the price lower tell the salesman to take a cut off his commision. He is making about $200 on the sale. If they are close to there sales goal for the month they will happily take less just to get the sale.

Great vacuums. way overpriced.

Buy one used. Only way to go.

I got one 10 years ago at a garage sale for $30 with all the attachments and still using it.

The shampoo's suck. Go rent one at the hardware store for $15.00

Jeez does this thing have 4 wheels and a seat as well as an engine. Go get a dirt devil for a hundred bucks. While you are at it get rid of those rugs they are a thing of the past. Beaner can hook you up with a guy who sands and stains hardwood floors for cheap. He uses that stain that has been banned for years. Matter of fact we havent heard from beaner since his beat down. Maybe the fumes finally put him away unless it was just Raymond.

Do you or your son have one ?

Nope..dont own one and I wouldnt own one either. Mainley because of how they are sold. (2nd resaon is because of the price)
My son started selling Kirbys and then switched over to selling Rainbows. By the time the Rainbow people got done with him he was actually good at the selling pitch. He needed to show the machine to 4 family members so the wife and I said ok. We told him at the beginning that we were not going to buy one..we were just helping him get his quota. So he shows us all about the machine and gets us to admit its a great little vaccuum (point 1). Then he gets you to admit that the machine is better than yours..which it almost always is (point 2). Then he breaks out the price (monthly payments and talks you into saying what amount you could afford (point 3). This is done at different times of the 2 hour showing. Then he started to hammer home the 3 points that you already admitted to and keeps asking you why you dont want one after youve already told that the machine is great, its better than yours and you can afford it. When you keep saying no he gets on the phone and calls his boss to "check in". He says code words to let his boss know why you are not buying one and his boss explains to him on how to try to get around it. If his boss is in the area he may even stop over to "check up" on him. Now you have 2 of them in your house trying to sell you one.

By the time my son was done that day I was so pissed I couldnt see straight. I told him what I thought of the selling tactics and if he wasnt my son I would have kicked his ass out as soon as the pressure sales started. He worked there for about a month and made $1200. At times he would actually go door to door on his own (to try to meet his showing quota) and people were letting him into there houses.

He finally quit after realizing his boss was lying to him and he was being conned as much as he was trying to con people into a sale. Didnt feel to good when it was happening to him and he realized it was wrong to sell things that way.(took a little bit but his consience finally kicked in)

during christmas/new years i went to the bar with the hubby of one of my wife's friends. he is one of those kirby manager/trainers. the whole time at the bar his phone was ringing from salesmen and he kept having to try and close deals.

they sure don't let up on the pressure once they get those commitments from a customer.

they ain't leavin without a deal!
