Does anyone plan on going to New Orleans for the big game? Tickets are rough. I just spent $1,200 each for nose bleeds and $300 a night 4 night minimum for a hotel. Outrageous but will hopefully be the best weekend in New Orleans Sports history with a Saints playoff game and a National Championship against the hated Updikes.

I don't believe this for a minute.

For everyone else, why would you spend money to be stuck in traffic, get shitty seats, and deal with a bunch of morons like ryan when you can stay at home and watch it on a 60" plasma? I've never been one to go to games live.

It's not really even about the money. A friend of mine asked me last week if I wanted to go to an NBA game. I asked him how much they were paying us to go?

Same here, was offered Cav's tickets ( lower bowl FT line, free beer) many times when LBJ was here and politely said no thank you.

If I had ticks for N.O. , they'd be on the block.

My Son and I went last year, but.....that was in Glendale AZ. Played golf at Troon North, Arizona casino was great. A great break from winter and a once and a life time trip for my son and his old man. He is 30 years old, so......we had a blast.
I am very glad the trip was not in New Orleans vs a home team. It will be good for New Orleans....I will leave it at that.

We had 50 yard line tickets in the first rows second section that were great, and paid 300.00 a ticket thanks to a friend of mine. If your team is in it, there is nothing much better than being there. You can watch the video of the game when you get home. FWIW :0008

Went to the 2009-2010 Cotton bowl in Jerry world and it was a blast. Nothing like being there for all the pregame activities and hype between fans and then cheering your team on in a bowl game. Sitting on your ass in front a Tv does not touch the experience in the least. No way I would have missed the big game if the Pokes would have gone this year. No matter the cost.

I get asked all the time. "If the Ravens make the SB are you going?" They say that especially since it's in Indy. My answer is no.

I would rather see them play the AFCC live at home than go to the SB.

It's so much more fun to be at HOME and watch your team. And, yes, I'd pay top bucks for that, I have before. Nothin' like it :toast:

If the Lions make the SuperBowl and I get tickets and a plane ticket, i'd sell them so fast. Live sporting events are the most overrated thing on the planet.
