I haven't seen a second of this game but I may just have to bet on Duke 2h on principle alone. They're currently down 3 with a little over 5 to go in the 1h and they were about a 19 point fave. If they're down or have a small lead at half I'll probably be playing them. They typically pull away in the 2h of close games at home. Thoughts?

It all depends on the number I think you are looking at a Double Digit 2H number that could be large. Duke is having the typical letdown after the NC game. Good Luck with whatever you do.

Good point. Yeah, if they're down I assume they will be laying at least 12 or 13. Just wondering if this will be another Clemson, NC State kind of a 2h for them...

Bodog has Duke at -11. I guess I have to take them Im sure Coack K is going to drive the point of beating NC lets not ruin that with a bad loss here. I look for Duke to go on a patented Duke run and open up late. I particularly like the way Duke spreads the floor late in a game and gets the ball in the right guys hands for FT's.

GL everyone:spotting:

Gotta love how I start the thread about taking Duke in the 2h and then I don't even play them! :mj07: I do think they will cover the 2h number, there's just a couple of other games this afternoon I like more so I'm laying off.

GL to everyone on it!

3 minutes in and Duke is already outscoring BC 11-4. Unreal. This may be like the NC State game where they come back and cover the game spread as well. I knew I would end up regretting not playing Duke in the 2h. I honestly think one of the best bets you can make in sports is taking Duke in the 2h of a close home game. Especially if it's a conference game.

I highly doubt they win this game by double digits.

I just dont buy the Duke hype. They arent that good IMO. Not a top 3 team for sure.

BC did a great job of weathering that run. I really thought when Duke jumped on the early we were looking at a soon-to-be burial. They did it to Clemson, NC State, Maryland, etc. It seems to be their MO.

I don't know about Duke not being a top-3 team. Every time I've seen them play they've looked pretty damn good. They've got unbelievable shooters.

A lot of teams have good shooters. Duke is just not built to win in the tourney in my opinion. One off game & they are gone. They have no inside game & they arent overly athletic or long.

I think if they played Memphis on a neutral court they lose by 10+

We'll see. You could be right. They do have some issues down low.

Getting knocked out of the tourney early wouldn't mean they weren't one of the best teams country to me though. Upsets happen all the time in March.

As for Memphis, I'd put every cent in my sportbook's account that they couldn't beat Duke by DD on a neutral floor. Hell, I'd probably even make that bet if they were playing in Memphis. Memphis is a good team but they can't make a FT to save their life. They could easily beat Duke but it would be hard for them to pull away and blow them out because of their struggles at the line. Just my opinion...

I dont think they would need the FT's at the end.

Duke would have match up problems all over the floor.

Dorsey would have a field day with anyone in the post.

Duke is going to cover the 2h number, but they made it interesting. It's like they hit just hit a switch in the 2h when they're at home.
