Deadline Hollywood Daily: "I'm told Mel's movie took in nearly $6 million Friday for what's expected to be at least a $15 mil, and possibly $16 mil, weekend total -- exceeding Disney's hopes for the box office gross. That easily beats Mel's Braveheart"

Call it mishnah, if you wish; the reviews I read didn't get this at all. The movie's central question is what the idea of a miracle, or salvation, can mean in a non-Christian world. That article is dead wrong, She was smoking something when she wrote it as it was only 8:00 pm and could not figure what would happen later on! I'll be posting the estimates for friday when i'll get them but so far it looks more likely like this, according to the data i am getting: Apocalypto and Holiday will be in the 4.7M to 5.2M range. Looks very good for my under bet on Holiday (almost in the bag if i could say!) and about our bet on OVER 13M for myself or UNDER if you like BDB thinking... well it looks like a 12-14M weekend so far if Apocalypto is estimates where i think it is (4.7 to 5.2M). I'll keep you post! 
She has updated her page now and looks much more like what i thought!!! She wrote Apocalypto made 4.9M. Still waiting the estimates but it looks like i was right about my predictions!

Apocalypto: 4.95M
Holiday: 4.4M

If it stays at 5M+ for saturday it is OVER 13M but if it was frontloaded and go below 5M.... Sunday is the weakest day of the weekend so it is really today that will decided if it will go or not 13M.... :SIB

Saw the movie last night...........very well done, extremely visual, extremely brutal, great story line and a very good ending. All in all I really liked it.
