I'm about tired replacing my microsoft based laptops every 3 years.

My wife has an ipad now and it's been fine to use.
I'm thinking maybe we should just get a MacBook, use icloud...just make the leap.

For those who have done so and left the windows based world, any regrets? I guess you adjust to life without flash? Will I regret this?

Do it! Macbooks are great. I've had my Macbook Pro for 4 years and never one problem with it. No popups, no viruses, no bullshit. I will never own another PC again. :0074 It takes a little getting used to but once you do, you'll never go back. Graphics are much better on a Mac. I own the newest Ipad as well and love it.

Once ya go MAC....ya never go back.

That says it all.

I have a very old MacBook and have never ever ever had a problem. No virus stuff...ever. Takes one second to load. When you use a MAC you realize just how terrible PC's are.

The only thing I have bought in 4.5 years is a battery. That's it. And as I said not one problem, nothing, nadda, zippo.

So I'll say it again.......

Once ya go MAC.....ya never go back.

I never looked back... very happy with my Macbook. :0074
Sometimes I get so frustrated with my Windows PC at work, I leave early so I can get my work done at home faster.

Thinking about it too....

I'm still thinking about it, would love to get one of the new mac laptops with the high retina display. The only drawback is they run about $3K. I shouldn't complain with the way their stock has treated me this year.

Got mine for $2.7k, but I got all the upgrades except hard drive space, which runs $500. The cheapest version of the pro with retina display can be had for about $2.3k I'm pretty sure.

Why would anyone ever buy a PC?

I don't get it:shrug:

There are some programs that only run on PC. I guess I could do the whole "windows on mac" thing, but to me that feels like polluting my mac...

I have to use a PC for work, but mac for play... Would definitely never buy another PC for personal use.

Ok Mac people, I've got all our files/pics backed up on a western digital external drive.

Will that be compatible to transfer pics to the MAC or do I have to burn to CDs and buy the additional disk drive?

My laptop finally crapped it (well, maybe a premature end, I punched it).

I'm 24 hours in with my macbook pro...freaking awesome! Thanks for the push!

I can see that now. I never liked the trackpad because I never realized how functional it was. I actually looked at the directions...lot of 2 and 3 finger swipes.

I actually got the airbook and after 1 night had buyers remorse. It was too small and not as fast as I thought. Apple was great, no questions asked, returned it and walked out with the new retina display. :00hour
