He isnt tradeable with that contract - he would have to restructure a deal for any trade to work which essentially means there cant be a trade without his consent.
GB has really screwed themselves on this. First not taking back is moronic. Second, if he calls your bluff you cant spend $12 million on a backup QB and have every fan in the stands demanding he play. If you cut him he goes to Minnesota.
I think all they could have done to pass the smell test would be to say "the job is Rogers but the starter will be whomever earns it in preseason." Favre would win out and it would be tough for Rogers to bitch - but he would, then go elsewhere, and in 2 years Brohm is the starter - and he will be better than Rogers anyway.
