He isnt tradeable with that contract - he would have to restructure a deal for any trade to work which essentially means there cant be a trade without his consent.

GB has really screwed themselves on this. First not taking back is moronic. Second, if he calls your bluff you cant spend $12 million on a backup QB and have every fan in the stands demanding he play. If you cut him he goes to Minnesota.

I think all they could have done to pass the smell test would be to say "the job is Rogers but the starter will be whomever earns it in preseason." Favre would win out and it would be tough for Rogers to bitch - but he would, then go elsewhere, and in 2 years Brohm is the starter - and he will be better than Rogers anyway.

Elvis you really think 1st round? I would think you would be lucky to get a 2nd or 3rd round pick for him. No doubt he showed he has skills and ability last yr vs. Dallas but look at the team he had around him. When he was originally drafted I think he went 1st round as the 24th or 25th pick and I just think draft picks are more valuable when looking at a teams overall "needs" even if that team needs a qb, which they can get in the draft as well.

well, you are correct - he isn't worth a 1st rd, but with the likes of oaky, anything is possible.

also, look at TB, no chance he would be traded there, but as a fa he would look very good to them. there are others that are weak at qb as well. i would think that minny is very close and favre could push them over the top....... either way he will sell a shat load of jerseys and put fans in the seats.

personally, i think he is always been overrated. however, he is a great player, and you could argue who is or isn't overrated all day long.
he has been a TO machine at times.

no desmond howard and no SB........................................let the bashing begin :mj07:
