Navy -10 over Army ******
When this line came out on Monday I jumped on it...its now -12 or -13 but really don't think it matters...Army is bad...lets start with there defense 1st...they can't stop anybody...they have 3 wins and one of those was vs Morgan St and in the 2nd half Morgan moved the ball at will..Army was lucky that Morgan had 20 penalties.Their biggest problem is they have no option qb...Santiago cannot pass so throw that option out..he cannot run with the ball so he is no threat esp on the pitch..he is so limited and he has been benched for AJ and the frosh but they are worse...Army backs Bagget,Dixon and co are good but teams are putting 8 or 9 guys in the box reading the options...but Armys defense is worse then the offense if thats possible...their secondary gets beat all the time...don't have the athletes to stay with anyone...everyone gets seperation from the cb's and the safeties are former liner backers...slow...think their last in the nation in pass defense or close..they have decent linebackers but DL has had big time problems..no pass rush at all even though vs Navy you don't need one..special teams..the worst in the country..punts and kick offs none existent...
Navy is led by their qb Reynolds who is unreal...after watching him pick apart the Notre Dame defense a month ago he will have a field day vs the Cadet defense...he can run the option like a clinic...he reads the defense and changes his play...then he will attack with his pass because he has an accurate arm{ 55%}...he has thrown for over 1,000 yds and 8 td's...but his legs have given him 1,200 yds and an amazing 26 td's....ND threw the book at Reynolds blitzing, dropping back, etc and he was "poetry in motion"....Navy also has about 7 or 8 guys that have rushed for over 200yds...thats some depth...there wr and TE are so open after defenses move up to stop the run...
Navy should win this by 3 td's...weather could be a factor somewhat but even in bad weather Armys special teams are such a disaster that could cost them.....the only other factor could be the exam schedule...this game was pushed back a week which runs into finals week at Navy..so Navy players have had to concentrate on the books... Army finals are the week after the game.....but I don't think Navy will have a problem with that..getting up for this game should not be effected by exams....
Navy has dominated this game....and they will continue to do it on Saturday.....44-17...
