The thing that I find funny is that guy was such an idiot that he taped himself and posted it on the internet not realizing there would be consequences for it. But again, he's a Browns fan...

Going to put a guy in prison for this? Like there aren't enough people in prison in this country already.

This is the sort of classless behavior that is it's own punishment. He is a classless moron and he is advertising it to the world. Move on.

disagree a bit....as you see there are some that think this guy is cool and funny....
maybe not prison....at the very least a healthy fine(unless you want to encourage more of this boorishness).....the guy has to be sanctioned in some manner...the $500 fine that is commensurate with the charge seems about right to me...

The US privatized prison system is a wicked Web indeed. The fine of $500 will more than certainly land this village idiot a parole officer as he signs off on a "payment" plan. That payment plan means assigned visits, court costs, court dates, which snow ball into fees, debts, warrants, and a vicious cycle begins... where on his next brilliant idea he lands in jail again with all the above listed and owed to the courts, so yes, in America the goal is to overflow the prisons for financial gain.

And this guy is about to begin his journey.

Fines?

I'm surprised this guy isn't being forced to register as a sex offender. That is another overused punishment de jure.

maybe we can just stop doling out traffic fines and shame people into obeying traffic laws?...you have to have "some" sanction available....

"Everyone who has buried a loved one has the right to believe that their final resting place will be treated with respect. Bringing charges against this individual should act as a deterrent to others and assure the rest of us that no matter who you are, indecencies will not be committed against your final resting place.?

In Maryland, Criminal Law Article 10-404(c) states: ?a person may not engage in indecent or disorderly conduct in a cemetery.? This crime is a misdemeanor that carries a maximum sentence of two years in jail and a fine of $500."

http://baltimore.cbslocal.com/2014/...d-browns-fan-who-pissed-on-art-modells-grave/

again,i agree that jail time would be way over the top...but a healthy fine(and whatever problems that would entail) should help act as a deterrent to future gnat brains....
