(AP)?The Houston Astros plan to activate right-hander Bud Norris(notes) from the disabled list in time to start Monday?s game at Milwaukee.
Norris (2-5, 6.80 ERA) has been on the DL since he received a cortisone shot after being diagnosed with biceps tendinitis following his last start for the Astros on May 23.
The Astros have an open spot on their roster after they designated right-hander Josh Banks for assignment Sunday.
Banks was called up to start Saturday against the Rangers, replacing injured Felipe Paulino (right shoulder tendinitis). Banks gave up six runs and eight hits in four-plus innings of a 7-2 loss.
Norris had a 3.06 ERA in three rehabilitation starts for Triple-A Round Rock.
He is scheduled to go against Brewers left-hander Manny Parra(notes) (2-5, 3.83).
