Kentucky gets Petrino.
I can actually see this happening. I dont see either Aub. or Tenn. making a play for Patrino given his past but kentucky could get away with it. I still say both get another year, especially Chizik. If I were Tenn, I would push hard for chucky. That is who I was hoping we would pursue if richt didnt make it out of last year.
Kirby Smart will be the next HC at UT. I am not thrilled, but anything is better than this dipshit we have now.
and you really think Petrino comes back to the SEC
Some idiot will hire him. Character in players is hard to complain about, when fans and administrators hire coaches who have none.
BTW, the writing has been on the wall since Hart came to UT. Dooley is gone unless he somehow gets to 8+ wins, and I don't think he has what it takes to hold this team together. I am not thrilled about hiring Smart, but anything is better than what we have. At least he would probably leave Cheney alone to do his thing on offense.
Pretty obvious now that Cam and Malzahn propelled that Auburn team to the NC team two years ago. Auburn is Auburn. They hit way above their average in 2010 and they need to be realistic in their expectations. I'm not saying by any means that Chizik is the best coach out there, but Auburn isn't an elite program.
Personally think if Auburn doesn't claim 1983, nobody should be able to... look at Miami and Auburn's 1983 seasons side by side and try to make a case for the U.
Skip, what galls me about Dooley is how arrogant he is. The guy has no reason to be so arrogant and is damn lucky to have gotten the Tennessee job after he was what, their third choice?
