You think that I should let it ride and not middle it?

Any feedback on what the smart cappers think of the Dallas Oakland game?

I know that there is no such thing as a sure thing but I was more confident of that Oakland pick than any of the baseball picks!
Am I missing something?

Also with two pushes I have a nine teamer that is still alive. If I was to middle it I would need to bet half of what the ticket would win as it is now... and it would not be $1100. On a five dollar bet I think this will only pay about 545.58.

Can someone please help me with caculating the payout as it stands?

Would it be "cool" to call Olympic and ask them?

AzRusty take the Cowboys for $250 ($275 with the 10%) This will give you a 275 profit from a middle, if you either win or lose the parlay. This is if your winnings are $548 if the Raiders win. I would not let it ride just because these preseason games are pretty sketchy and the linesmakers seem to do a good job on them. If you middle it you will have $275 regardless.

Eric and Raymond

After talking to Raymond awhile ago I decided to let this bet ride rather than middle it. It is a minimum bet ( five dollars).. and I can't see putting half of the potential winnings on the other side.

Eric if you seriously disagree with this decision let me know. Ray says Oakland is the right side and since it is a small wager that if it loses I'm not out much and that it will probably win as it stands.

Ray also said that if this was a maximum wager that it would be stupid NOT to middle it.

Oh..... and yeah.. I'm a small player. As small as they come. I started doing this stuff about a year ago with NO sports background and no knowledge of gambling whatsoever. I saw this as a possible way of making money. I have been playing small all along and continue to do so as I learn. I thought it would be stupid to put thousands of dollars into something that I didn't understand and I am glad that I have done it the way I have.

I haven't won a lot of money but I haven't lost a lot either. What I do is follow handicpappers and try to do a bit of research on my own and to follow sound money management. I don't always do what I should and sometimes when I "nail' a game I get killed!

My wife Kathy was married to an obsessive compulsive gambler who bet away a house and most of his retirement so .. she is not too fond of my new hobby. So I have to keep this down to a low roar. And yes.. we have had about three big fights over this in the past year. lol

Thanks everyone for the support and help on this. Believe it or not I am at work and am about to see a new patient. Yes.. I work Saturdays and will even be in the office tomorrow morning to see a couple of acute on the job injuries that need help even on Sunday.

And yeah... one reason to play this stuff is to hopefully get lucky once in awhile and as I build up a bank roll maybe one day I'll hit some parlay jackpots that are HUGE like RAYMOND'S and Fletch's...

Thanks Nick for computing the odds.. That's what I thought .. around 500. Also thank you Ray and Fletch for the advice.
