Played Idaho -3 today. Eastern's athletic dept is a mess right now and it's showing. Gragg always has the same company line: " we are assessing the particular program in question, and will continue to make improvements. Well, I guess he's a man of his word because the FB team did win one game this year which indeed was a big step forward over the winless '09 squad.
The hoops squad lost 2/3 of a nice core of starters from last season and has not found how to replace Dobbins and Medlock as of yet. Bowdry remains and he a fine hard nosed player but the guard play is week with little support from any others. Higgins an score at times but he's very inconsistant and can be shut down.
I realize that the Spuds are no world beaters but fading the weakest of the MAC with teams like Toledo and Eastern Mich out of conference continues to be one of my favorite fades. Like the over a bit as well based on Idaho's defensive numbers.
