Yesterday was the same crap... you know, wind up less than 10 bucks in the red or the black. Hit a small zacta and that was it for 3 playable races. The color for yesterday was RED . No big deal.

After writing two books/sermons for Double Two, I'll keep the post short today. BTW, DT's profile shows he's no ROOKIE gamblin man.


TODAY @ PHILLY PARK
5th race:
Picks are 2 and 5. Won't get much in the way of odds on either
For me... plenty of tickets using the no. 2 in exactas and double tickets on the 2<->6 (box) jobbie, OF COURSE. I may use no. 5 as a side, straight bet in case the 2 falters.
Potential LONGshots for this race are the nos. 4 and 9.

6th race:
Top picks are nos. 4 and 7. Sheesh, same deal as the 5th race. I just might skip this wace.

7th race:
Well, my top rated horses are the Nos. 1 and 3.

Longshot potential is no. 7, Deacon Furr. Oh yeah, I'll be doing something with this one. Morning Line on this is 8-1.

Have to work on the 8th which looks like a playable race. Leaning on the nos. 6 and 7 in the 9th so far.

So far..... . only first play result so far was that there no. 2, "Frank and Dino", and that play is .... ah, er.. let's say "History".

I'll see whose around and maybe see a "L@@KER" and post it.

Not much to write about the pre-race. Sure hope that no. 7 hoss runs better in the race than how it looked in the prerace/paddock.

7th race
That there no. 7 woke up at the half way point of the race. Prob. ran the 2nd half better than any of the others but just had WAY too far to make up for the sleep walk in the first half. Stick with "Deacon"; looks like it will be winning a race soon.

One of the best of the bettors friends won that race. BTW, Relflected Way was and still is a dream come true for the owners that had him during his long career. Won again today at 7 to 1.

No play in the 8th and the dang zactas I had for the 9th - BOTH, landed on one side of the zacta bet in the 9th. That is, had 1,3 top/bot 6,9 and result was a 3/1 zackta that paid $54+. What else is new?

Well, based on yesterday's results - just not butting in and sticking to my ratings woulda worked out a little better. Maybe I'm a little stubborn though cause I'm doing it again today. I'll post the ratings though...

Race 2
No. 6 hoss is clearly top rated, but I'm luvin the no. 5 violin . Got too many tickets to go through, but if the 5, Sure Start, finishes out of the moola.. well, it's :00x4 for me for this race and maybe for the whole day as well. VERY rarely do I through $50+ into one race. Risky too cause almost all of it is in exotics; even if that no. 5 finishes 3rd, I got a good shot at hitting the tri. cause the 5 is the only horse I got in that Show spot for the trifecta tickets.

Race 4
Nos. 6 and 2 are top rated. Normally, that means HIT them magic zacta nos. I took the trifecta route (no. 6 on top). Gotta see how the nos. 1 and 5 look in the prerace and I'll do something with the one that looks better between those two for a side/insurance bet.

Race 7
Nos. 4 and 8 are top rated. Yeah, two STINKIN favorites. Tellyas, that no. 3, Brahman at 15-1 M.L., is a disgrace to his ancestry. How a horse with that blood running though it's veins can do so poorly at a track like Philly is really disappointing. I continually look for a glimmer of hope from this one and there is a faint one for today. Small tickets of course.

Race 9
Haven't gotten into this race, but it sure looks like the tote board will need all it's lights working when all is said and done.

Can it get any worse? Throw out the HUGE favorite, take 3 of the remaining high odds horse and lose the dang race.

There should be enough left in the bankaroo for tomorrow (last day of the Philly week). Need an EXCELLENT day tomorrow to avoid a hoss wacin VACATION cause all the great stuff that worked before for me ain't working at all. Favorites are winning way too often, MUCH more than in the past and "worser" I'm not coming up with the "Philly Bomber's" any mo.

Got picks for the 9th for today, gonna checkem out and hopefully one will make a good start for tomorrow's potential FINALE (for me) for awhile.

Thems ran 9(1 to 5) - 2 - 10.

No. 2 went off at 9-1 but that no. 9 just moidered all the bastages in that race. LOL

Well over 2000 views, but good thing thems almost all robots and probably a very few of them actually play hosses; thems don't count.

Haven't seen a ($$$$) Philly bonanza day in a long time (thems were regular events in here a year ago or so) so vacation probably will start on Weds. BTW, vacations usually last between several weeks to 6 mos. or more. One lasted a couple of YEARS. This one won't cause I'll be reading up and watching "Darby" related stuff .

I'll post for tomorrow's probable finale AND next stop of real betting will be on the Darby.. from there... ?

Good luck with them Dudes of Summer; I'll watch (only) them Cubbies but that's as far as that goes for me. Mostly fishing (from a boat, not the shore anymo), maybe a casino trip, a little partying, computer updating and selling, around the house repairs, and a little tennis action will fill the bill.
