Bar Harbor is more of a Summer Tourist Trap, long ass ride and nippy up there this time of year, no mosquitoes though....A lot of small shops, sight seeing boats (bring warm clothes), tons of good food. Acadia National Park is a must see, bring a camera and try to catch sunrise :0074
Freeport is Outlet Shopping on Steroids, bring plenty of money and save extra room in you car.....Wicked Good Deals!!!! Gritty McDuffs is a Local Brew Pub pretty good food.....Small town friendly people......

Most any place if you're just doing streamed....There's a couple outside cookers just as you get to MDI if the weather nice out....If you're coming through Belfast around lunch time drive downtown and grab a bite at Rollies, a local hangout... Good grub, especially Buffalo Wings with iced cold beer....We head up there on Sundays for their 33 cent wings, get them extra crispy extra hot, I dare ya....:0074
LL Bean's outlet is in Freeport. Kind of cool to walk around it.
Pat's Pizza is good, right down the street in Yarmouth.
Camden is nice as well.
