Bombs, what is "LLM" that you are referring to?
Large language model

ChatGPT, Claude, grok etc

You could ask it to produce some text as to why someone should bet on x team and it could do it in seconds. It might not be accurate or intellectually valid but it will sound like an “argument”.

Not saying this to be a dick, but where do you get ur stats? The era’s you post for SP’s are rarely right. The only reason I know is because play in a $1,000 mlb fantasy league and I have to know lol. But seriously man, they are always off. Just a heads up.
Always off? you are full of it my friend........i spend 4-6 hours a day handcapping an doing write-ups (which I don't have to do) I' use about 6 different sites, not just 1 and some sites may differ in stats than other sites. I'm only human, and i DO make errors, but 95% of the time my #'s are correct. These are not intentional. Either way i do this to help YOU guys. I looked back at my numbers and actually we were both wrong on some accounts. Last night I accidently used a game from 2025 in 3 of my write ups, which is easy to do in 1 of the sites i use. My apologies. But May DOES have 2 road starts and the #'s are correct. No harm. no foul. Thx for pointing those out. Jr44
Y'all are so sensitive.

Ryan Weiss posted 7.40, has a 6.75

Chase Burns (Not Connor, Connor is a catcher) posted 2.20, has a 2.42

Matz posted 2.36, has a 3.80

May has only pitched one road game, he’s 0-1 with a 18.90 era, Not 0-2 with 16.03

If you are doing this and the sites have conflicting sites then some of the sites are using ai and its slop on their part. Something for you to be aware of I’ve seen a lot of these stats sites getting wonky numbers because of it.

Again, none of this matters to me. Bottom line business and you post an actual record so whatever inconsistencies are in there it doesn’t matter.

Then some of ur sites are obviously wrong, which is why I pointed this out in the first place. But if you wanna double down, show me where May has pitched on the road twice this year.

Dustin May
  1. March 29 – vs. Tampa Bay Rays
  2. April 4 – at Detroit Tigers
  3. April 10 – vs. Boston Red Sox
  4. April 15 – vs. Cleveland Guardians

I’m just pointing out facts my man. Zero agenda.
The Cardinals started the season with a 6 game home stand. 3 against the Rays, 3 against the Mets.

Again I don’t care it’s a bottom line business. The “write ups” are unnecessary window dressing.
It's your opinion that the "write ups" are unnecessary........I will the other madjacker's chime in on this........please guys, comment on this statement

As someone who used to post plays at the old Cappersmall (long gone) I used to include write-ups because I thought the guys would: (a) find them entertaining; and (b) so people would know why I liked a play. Those were 100% from me, without any artificial assistance I don't even think they had AI then--LOL). I for one enjoy reading them. But at the end of the day, it's about picking winners. The write-ups are the gravy.

Writeups are not just informative and entertaining. They explain why you are making a play. If you don't do that, who knows who you are and what you think. You are next to useless. Your writeups give information and help to decide whether to "follow" or make a play.

People who do not understand this are of no help at all. Duh. Keep on giving knowledge, not just "picks". :smilies8

It's completely an opinion - some may definitely find them useful and I'm not discouraging it. It's some information, but it is not really actionable. I can come up with a compelling "argument" for any play or side.

Ok guys............. to conclude this disscusion, I do writeups because because guys seem to like them and it helps me in my handicapping and 95% of them are correct. last night was, again, an abberation and i DID get some false info (some of my own doing). I am going to re-evaluate the sites that I use for my capping/writeups because all i want is ACCURACY. Like I said, maybe the sites that ive been using aren't as reliable as they once were. Again, im not perfect and welcome suggestions to better myself. Cheers. Jr44

No worries Junior. You obviously give a lot of your time here. And while this year has started slow (it's still April !) you were a fucking baseball god last year. I for one appreciate the major effort. If others don't, then fuck 'em.

Agree 100%. Same with my college bowl write-ups. They help me organize my thoughts and also let people know why I'm betting what I'm betting. I think that's a lot more valuable than someone just posting picks. Although I certainly acknowledge that it takes a lot of time and not everyone can do it.
