The Tigers are just in a funk. They're on current slides of 1-7 SU and 0-8 ATS and they've shot better than 42 percent from the field just once in their last 11 games. This struggling outfit is also a mere 1-6 SU and 0-7 ATS in Ancient Eight affairs this season.
Cornell has covered five of its last six as a road pup of three or less and is a very confident basketball team of late with scoreboard wins in nine of its last 11 games. In their 55-35 win over the Tigers last month, the Big Red held the Tigers to only 30.4 percent shooting and forced 17 turnovers. Expect more of the same this evening.
The dog has covered five straight in this series and that trend will continue tonight. Cornell shouldn't be getting points, but we'll take 'em as we're getting good value in this spot. Princeton can't score consistently (just 50.8 ppg average), but Corenll can. And the Big Red will as they'll pull away late for this road win and cover.

Love Winthrop getting all these points as it wouldn't surprise me at all to see the Eagles go into Missouri State's home building and win this one outright. This is a very flat spot for the Bears, who had been sailing along after five straight wins before being upset Wednesday by visiting Southern Illinois. That loss dropped the Bears to just 11-3 SU at home this year and this team has now failed to cover in four of its last five at home. The Hammons Student Center was packed and rocking on Wednesday for a big MVC showdown and the Bears put a lot into that game versus Soutyhern Illinois. The place won't be close to a sellout tonight as the Bears and their fans will take this Winthrop team lightly.
And that's a huge mistake as the Eagles are solid basketball team that goes nine deep and has reeled off 13 straight win since losing at Texas A&m in early January. The Eagles like to play with the big boys and this season lost by just seven against North Carolin and took Wisconsin to overtime. Winthrop plays excellent perimeter defense and the Eagles will challenge shots from Blake Ahearn & Co. This game is not just grouped in with all those other Bracket Buster games on Saturday. Rather this is a Friday night prime time special and Winthrop doesn't get many opportunbities to showcase its program.
