It's certainly true that you can fade someone, and a lot of players do, but why do you need to slam the guy? Can't you fade his plays, and be nice about it?

Nobody needs to be pissed on when they do poorly, and the only people whom do that, are people with an agenda against that handicapper, or just stone cold losers. Why would you shit on someone who is having a tough time of it? I never understood that!

Supposedly, we are all here to post our plays, and root the whole forum on. (That, of course, will never happen.) We all have our personal pissing matches from time to time, but an out and out slam on someone's record is bullshit, and always will be.

It's not real easy to lay your shit out for public view after having a few bad weeks. Not easy to post a losing record. Not easy to listen to assholes who revel in your failure. But, the guys with pride, and ability, realize losing is a part of the cycle of gambling.

I just know there are plenty of 'haters' out there, waiting to toss the tomatoes at me when I have a bad week!

Don't be the guy who makes an ass of himself by calling out the guys having a hard time of it. If that is what gives you pleasure, I truely feel for you...................

Obviously you are making a joke about making money off my plays by fading them. That is O.K. Like I said I brought the ridicule on myself for posting a poor record over the past year. When I was posting winning records I received praise from a good number of people for my results. That is the nature of posting plays publicly. If people don't want to take criticism or praise for short term results that ultimately mean little in a lifetime of handcapping, then they shouldn't post their plays publicly.

One point that I do have to dispute, however, is that a mortgage and a Mercedes are measures of success. They are measures of being a consumer, to be sure. Tell me you have a gorgeous wife, a close family and children who posses intelligence and respect and then I'll be impressed. Until you can tell me that, then you are just another selfish asshole like Ted Williams or any of the many other false idols in sports. Good luck.

I understand what you're saying, Dr F, but I don't necessarily agree with it. A lot of times people make mistake or are misunderstood and I'd rather give them the benefit of the doubt even if they do act like asses or put others down. And what is with the OU avatar? This guy is the best! You claim to make 300 grand a year (minus the 10% to charity of course) and you claim to need to fade somebodys picks to buy a car that's worth around 30 grand right now?

I assume that you're messing around, but whatever the case, you're definitely a rude assho*e.

If you're serious, well, I see no signs of mensa and I would recommend a money manager or a trip to AA if you really do need to blindly bet(fade) to afford a run of the mill car on your 'incredible to believe' salary.
