The best thing, if most of your $$$ comes from cappin', do what I do.

Turn the big screen facing the deck. Sit outside with the laptop, enjoy a Heineken, the sun, and keep winning! (do not always do that though) There are 1 bedroom apartments in the units I live at that are $500 per month. They have impecable service. They are out in about 1/2 hour. (these 2 maintanance dudes drive around in golf carts all day begging for things to do)

1 time our AC filter looked clogged and 5 minutes later here he come in his golf cart and bamm!!! Job done!!

Good luck again Mike!!

(If most of you $$$ comes from cappin, do it where there is YEARROUND NICE WATHER AND LOW RENT/MORTGAGES!!!!!! ;)

Cap a few games and HIT THE BEACH!!!! WOOOO HOOOOO!!!

God damn,LOL.........Yea, I dont post on here frankly because I dont want to, which may be selfish, but I dont need to prove to anyone anything, I know what I make/lose, so that is that, if I ever come friends wiith people on here and meet them Id love to discuss games, just on the boards so much cra[ I read and then do my own work. Cappings all well and good, but frankly would like a night job or something else to hold me over a little bit, but I dont know........You're right with the laptop and the deck, etc, damn you are making me jealous,lol.........Saturdays and sundays, frankly I work all fkin day, 11am till the night games, watching games and betting halftimes, everything, usually end up with 15-20 bets, and I try and grind out a few units profit, but Im confident in myself............$500 a month is exactly my range, that leaves $ for utilities, car, insurance and to eat alright. Dont really wanna go past 600 If I can, but 1 bedroom is absolutely perfect. Seems it all sounds great, thanks for the help again

Some places have Studio apartments (where they have a Murphy bed on the wall) where you pull down and sleep.

My very first place in Pensacola was a studio. Pulled the bed down to sleep (comfortable as shit!) and 1 less room to spread out my air conditioning bill!!

Rent/studio was $355 and electric bill around $35

Rent/1 bedroom $400 and $70 electric bill.

Studio apt was BAD for bringing home BABES. They would be sitting on the couch/bed and say "Let's go to your bedroom" and I would say,"Your in it!" Bad for the sex life though!!! :D :D :D

My friend Nitwit is fron Destin. I wish he lived here. We used to hang at a bar on Saturday and gamble and talk sports/picks all day!!! It was great!!!

Just like getting out of work 5 days a week at 12:30PM. Home before the 1:00 games start (Do not work on Sundays!! :thumb: )

Different way of life here too. Really slow paced!!!

You couldn't be more right. In some ways, I may have a hard time adjusting to the slower pace of life. I live 30 mins train ride from NYC, lot of bigtime wall street guys, etc, not me of course I just scraped by with my degenerate buddies,lol........But yea, florida has a lot of stupid, uneducated people (Not you, lol) Of course many arent, but lot of areas like pahokee, miami, etc have some really bad war zones.......The pace is slower, you're damn right. Gotta be tolerant of it, life's all about trade offs like you say....home at 1230pm is great, Id like to work a few nights a week to supplement my handicapping, or else a golf course during the mornings, but I need to look further into it........400 + 70 electric is very reasonable. Thats $120 a week, not much at all, just gotta eat and pay for my car too, basically it.I dont love studios for the same reason you mentioned. That is awesome with nitwit, I have ONE friend who I can do that with. I kind of like not having gambling friends though, because I can get a break from talking about it, but my one friend is just like me, just isnt the best capper, he's more book smart than I am......Bars great just cant do the halftimes, that's about it......Slower pace is right, but you take the good with the bad I guess

ah forgot you said penscaola, I did a search for clearwater, prices a little more, in the 4's and 5's range, but that still could be manageable, just dont to end up in the ghetto being the only white guy there, if possible,LOL take it easy bud

Not the bar scene to many times. Had to check scores on my cell phone and call in halftime bets (unless They had that game on the TV) Thank God for wireless internet service!! Hop into an occasional bar, sit at a table, turn on the laptop, and voila. there you go!! Bets galore!! :D

Just spend a lot of time researching before you make the jump. Like you said, 1 washes out the other! better pay = BAD weather!! Low pay = GREAT weather.

Be thankful that wagering will help your income. Too me that equals WARM WEATHER!!!!!

GOOD LUCK MIKE!!!

Need to finish cappin tonights MLB games and then eat!

Later bud!! :yup

Just saw your post before I submitted mine. That's why you need to know someone in an area (Hopefully) before you move that will say "that section is nice!" or "HELL NO!!!!!" Know what I mean???

So Cal
Condos on the beach for $750-800 per month? What I am doing here on the left coast? Southern Orange County and Northern San Diego county still have a little open space and many nice places on or near the water. But the prices are high and getting higher. If you considered San Diego, you can go a little north and enjoy the benefits of the great weather and still be close to everything.

UT_Longhorn - Calabassas won't be much cooler than Texas, at least in the summer.

clearwater is like a carbon copy of st.augustine except st.augustine has the bay and old town being the first city in the us very strick codes so spot less and they keep it like that, i like the beach better in st a and cresent and flagler beach better then the gulf cleaner sand is the same snice clean wite sugar sand , but clearwater is farther away from daytona st .augustine like i said have tons of babes from the college and jaxs and gainsville all come here, and you can get a acct job won't have a problem all the big condos and other places look for them all the time and jaxs you would never have a problem live in st.a and drive 95 north 35 mins to work in jaxs but you can find jobs in st.a also in your field, babes are more fun on the east coast tj in that part and when you want to go all out just take the 40 mile drive south to daytona, if your in cleawater you can find a great party spot bar city not to far away ebor city it is a site in itself i am quite sure tj has been there now that is just on block of club heaven if you can't have a good time and get laid there then you are dead. like i said they are about the same just like the beach better in sa or the water the beaches are the same clean as can be and soft. tj get a little more intense thunder storms then you do in st.a but both are great and fun places. when you visit i am sure you will pick fl. either of those 2 are very fun and nice just more singles in the st.a area and a little bit younger because of the college, not that cleawater does not have them there is usf right their u of tampa , st.pete cc and like he said baseball year around in either place with all the colleges and you see some great hs ball in winter leauge. for plays the st.pete, clearwater area is where i would do most of my recruteing, s,fl is good but tampa,st.pete clearwater is a baseball breading ground.

colleges by sa flageler, st,johncc daytona beach cc, ju u of n.fl and flcc in jaxs as well as embrey-riddle b.cookmen and edward waters. and lake city cc just a ton of them in either place and gainsville and stetson seem just to come to st.a on the weekend for the beach and bars easier to get to from their 55 mins and they are in st.a. either choice i think you would love.

now i know tj you and donna have done ebor city there is no way you have not. and if you want a big party gator growl you have to go just to believe it, halloween at key west fanasty fest it lots of fun also.

I appreciate it a lot buddy, I really do! Great to see how you always offer to help people on here, its appreciated........You know how the expression goes, it's who you know more than what you know. I have 3-4 years of lower level acctg experience, and am a pretty smart guy with good skills, just dont have the degree for a few reasons, basically didnt adapt well to school and wasnt interested, I know that limits advancement, but I may eventually go back, but basically just need the part time $ maybe 3 weekdays a week or 4 to make some $ to help me out. Glad to hear you have contacts though, I will certainly keep these posts saved, and will speak to you when the time comes, just need to eventually look into apt's and the like, Im sure it can be done though, Id be glad to meet whoever you know also to give them a good idea of who I am, what i can do and my ability.....Thanks, will keep you posted....Gonna be home for a whiile until after football and some baskets ended, then starting next spring gonna start focusing on it.......Hope your plays did well today, I struggled with a few dumb ones........Mia Ohio really blew that cover, etc but Ill manage........take it easy bud

It sure does, he has offered to help many people on here, most of which he has never known, cant say a better thing than that. Not trying to suck up to the guy, just telling the truth and I appreciate it greatly.......Fletch, looking fwd to eventually speaking to you re:the specifics of moving there, not up to that yet, but it's gonna be in the back of my mind in the meantime, and I gotta sort out my finances, car, eventually w/you and the job, and the capping bankroll and apartment.........Looking fwd to getting your input though when time comes.........g luck in nfl tomo, Im beat, hopefully everyone does well tomorrow and some dogs bark!

I think you meant Barnett Bank, right?? Even if your not interested in the banking industry, just working their for a year or two, will provide you with many new contacts and resources to help you move on to a different job. I know you said Alabama was too slow but my family owns a bank here in Alabama with branches throughout central Alabama and has been hiring a lot of new employees lately in the Birmingham area. I would be happy to take a look at your resume if your interested. I didnt mean to butt into your thread but just thought I would throw the offer out there for you. Birmingham is surprisingly a big banking city (for the southeast). There are also some really nice neighborhoods and lots of attractive southern ladies roaming around!! Anyway, good luck with your search and let me know if you are interested. :)

thanks uss........I just dont that me being a northerner and all, and my religion being what it is, would be accepted with the good ole boys in alabama    Nonetheless, maybe it could still be a good idea. Do most of the jobs at your familys bank require a college degree, which I don't have, but I have 4 years part=time accounting experience, and I am quite competent and pretty smart despite my lack of "piece of paper" how is the cost of living there as well? I dont think 'bama is for me though, a little too much of a culture shock, but thanks anyway, maybe still will look into it
