I have been into blues for quite a while now, but I am amazed every day as to the new artists that I am turned onto. Paul Zunno on now and he sounds great. The thing is, it's all in the style that I like the most. Very guitar oriented and mostly a texas style blues. Then every once in a while they will toss in something that I wouldn't really consider blues, but usually end up digging it anyway........Earlier today they played Big Head Todd and the Monsters, which I would never consider as blues, but one of my all time favorite albums is their Sister Sweetly CD..........Every song has this sultry underlying groove. Used be hypnotic when I brought a chick back and put it on, it was about 80% for pants departure.

Ah hell yeah, Stevie Ray Vaughn! I just started listening to blues a few years ago. I used to be a metal head but now my musical taste has changed since I'm getting older. This stuff is so relaxing. Almost wish I had a joint right now.:weed:

The thing about good blues is the passion that these guys are able to squeeze out of the guitar, and like is SRV's case, as well as others, the passion in their vocals. Even if they don;t have the greatest voice, the passion makes up for it. ........If anybody is downloading anything, get Etta James "Sugar on the Floor", and I dare anybody on here to tell me that when she kicks into the 2nd verse if you don't get goose bumps, you are a much better man than me.....Not taking anything away from guys like Stevie Vai, they are certainly talented and very fast players, but I would rather here a story instead of trying to follow something at break neck speed..........But then again, that's just me.
