Heaven, oh!!, this isn't it?!
From BJ:
Thanks for the inquiry. We need a valid ID to process the card, it does not have to be a driver's license, it can be a State ID or Passport your SSN is not needed. The card will be able to do both deposit and withdrawal, however so far only the withdrawal has been program. When the deposit method as been activated we are working on having credit cards Western Union and ACh/EFT to fund the card. The max withdrawal per day from the book to the card is $5000 with and the max. with from an ATM is $2500. There is a $.50 fee for withdrawals and the monthly fee will be taken care by BetJm as long as you are an active player. We will keep our customer informed. Janice Customer Service

This is relevant.............:SIB

The greek and betjamaica are my 2 faves never had a problem with them. Love how they post the early lines hope they stay around forever.

Not trying to be an Ass, but this is irrelevant?:SIB

Keep these coming please.

Judge,
I take it from your last post that you have not engaged in this at this point then?

--on the ID issue--been having to that for years with many Aussie and UK books on golf outs.

Their standard mode is ID and copy of utility bill to prove you are not U.S. resident.

As long as they don't ask for anything with SSN--I didn't see a prob.

I received my Bet Jamaica Transfer Card yesterday and it appears to be is very similar to NeTeller but with some additional options. The card that you are sent is the BanqueCard Gold debit card which is a PIN based debit card. According to the website (SpeedyWallet.com), it is accepted in over 150 countries worldwide. You can withdraw cash at ATMs outside the US bearing the PLUS logo, and inside the US bearing the STAR logo. (Cannot perform signature-based transactions.)

The BanqueCard is not a Visa debit card but Speedy Wallet does offer one for US residents from Four Oaks Bank & Trust. I am unclear at this point if funds can be transferred between the two. However, funds can apparently be withdrawn from your BanqueCard directly to your checking or savings account and can be accessed through an ATM machine.

In conjunction with your Bet Jamaica account, currently this card can only be used for withdrawing funds but the people at BetJam told me that they expect to have everything in place in approximately one week so that deposits to your BetJam account can be made through this card as well.

Several options for loading your card are offered including Bank Transfer, Credit Card, MoneyGram, Western Union Swift Pay and USBillPay. To add funds to your card using a bank transfer or credit card, you must first signup and get a ValidPass (ValidTrans login ID) from www.validtrans.com. This is an identity verification and fraud protection service that Speedy Wallet uses. I am assuming that it is also another layer of insulation.

Overall, this looks like a good option for financial transactions with Bet Jamaica and based in their own customer service reputation, I have to imagine that they have checked this company out and are confident in their ability to keep BetJam customers happy. I guess we will see.

I really want to try out BetJm, but the 30 day waiting period to withdraw if you deposit by credit card is too long for me. Especially with all the crap going down recently. I wouldn't want my funds tied up if I need to get them out.

I noticed that there is a $59.95 Card Mangement Annual Fee I am canceling mine.

Hmmm, seems like there is always something:com: Maybe the book will pick that up?

Judge,
Thanks for all the info, still trying to decide if I want to go on record(DL info:scared) to do this. I can see some of there reasoning, but the risk of having your DL# out there with your address and other personal information just doesn't sit right with me. I know that we give this stuff out for other things, but in our own country:shrug: Seems like many are doing it, and maybe I'm just too insecure, skeptical, or careful:SIB
Good conversations regarding this to say the least....

received the card a few weeks ago, but still haven't activated it yet...not too fond of giving out my SSN...

has anyone activated the card and started using it yet? Why would they need our SSN? is that how the gov't can keep track of our transactions?

much appreciated if someone can shed some light on how this all works...I am a dummy when it comes to banking...

Withdrawals are painless and the card can be used a practically any ATM machine. Deposits from the card are not yet possible but in the works.

Exactly the reason I wont use this source. No one has been able to explain this as of yet, and something stinks about it:scared

Judge,
Glad to see its working out for you........

I'm sorry but this discussion has to end and end now before the feds shut this method down too.

i have been asked by key books to

i will quote one

"to preserve the longevity and security of our most recent payment options we're asking that people privately discuss and communicate to either MJ's, the book or to each other regarding payment options." We greatly regret having to ask to limit free speech however it is necessary to do so. We greatly appreciate your understanding for obvious and necessary reasons."
