excatly what I did. I also played a pick 3 ticket all/all /6 cost $120

got an 11-1 to open it up, so I'm hoping for a longshot in race 10.

all comes down to this one though...

Seguro is the name of the horse, correct?

Going to add this one to my watch list if it is. Looking back at the past performance, that race yesterday was his first with lasix and first race other than a sprint.

Mully- There was also a huge headwind yesterday in the stretch so it was going to be hard for him to close yesterday but there were some winners that did close yesterday. It looked like he had fronts on and that would my only concern for the future.

He has excellent breeding for the turf which is listed as good today. The turf rail is lane 2 which typically favors speed and press types. 7 horse field now with scratches of the 3,4,6,7,12,13,14. If those front wraps are off that would be a huge plus.

Ill probably lay off. I imagine the odds will be quite low and for a first time on turf, not worth the risk at a bad price.:shrug:

You can toss this race out for him. Was very nervous before going in the gate and had some serious kicks going on outside the gate before being loaded. Race was over before it started for him.

thanks striker. how did he seem to like the turf?

what were the post time odds? i imagined it wouldve been close to odds on and that was way too much for a first timer on turf imo.

He went off at 3-2 and there was a ton of late money(not smart money IMHO)that came in on him. He closed well for 6th and just missed by 2 lengths. But front wraps were still on and IMO those are never a good sign especially in an allowance race. Like I said Lane 2 on the turf plays well for speed and pressers at Arlington and he is clearly not either of those. Speed has been killing at Arlington on the turf recently also. Hope this helps.

sorry boys, haven't had a chance to catch my breath with the John Deere Classic going on this week. AP, I sent you an email. I THINK, he sold this one prior to Thursdays race. I did watch the race replay and in my mind, the horse didn't like the surface. Totally blew the final turn and had no chance. Bet down as I thought, but I didn't have a chance to get any $$ down. If the horse was sold , its most likely isn't as good as advertised. John only wants the best of the best and has the bankroll to get them. Things will settle down for me after this week. I haven't spoke to Mr Carver for about 2 weeks now as his son is in a battle for his life over in Iowa City Hospital ICU. Ill try to keep you all posted when I hear any new on up coming races.

This one goes thursday again. If there was ever a race on turf that he would win this would be it. He gets no more chances on turf after this one with me. The rail at Arlington will be set at 42 feet out which is just about the start of where it favors closers and should be firm. But I will not know until 10 minutes before the race if I will play him or not. This is because I am going to watch as much of him during the warm up and post parade that I can. He was very excited before going in the gate last race and I mean a 9 out of 10 on the scale. He was kicking worse than Quality Road before the BC Classic. My money only goes on him if those front wraps are off though. If he still has those wraps on I will stay away. Good Luck if you play him.
