Beware of following cappers that keep no record!

Many of the great handicappers at Madjack's do a great job of keeping an accurate record. However, there are many that do not keep a record that many think are winning over the long haul. One reason for that is that some always seem to have to make a post to let the board know they posted a winning play. As you would expect, no additional post if the posted play was a loser.

As a general rule, imo, it is foolish to follow anyone who doesn't keep a record unless:

1. You keep track of their record on your own. Or
2. The handicapper provides a write-up with enough info as to why he is playing that game so you can decide if you want to follow along.

Just my opinion. Not meant to make anyone angry. It is meant to say thank you to those that post and keep a record! It's a time - consuming task. Good luck to all.

By the way, I'll make this offer: if there is a regular poster that posts plays but doesn't have time to keep a record, I'll keep his record for him. Obviously, I can't do too many but I'll do a few. Let me know.

Most of the same guys like to have a circle jerk when they win, bumping their threads constantly. But when they lose you never hear a peep from them. They may be decent cappers and they may not be but if they can't attempt to keep their record they simply are not relevant to me. I may read their threads but I won't place any weight on anything they have to say.

Sadly, many here don't know a decent capper from a poor one and lose their money backing them.

There are a lot of good cappers here, Full court press right above me being one of them. I like the way he keeps his record in his sig. However, if you've been on this site long enough, you'll know who the good cappers are, regardless if they keep an updated record or not. I know what you guys are sayin, though, and it's always amusing to see how some people keep such a detailed record when they are winning, but when they go through a losing streak they conveniently get selective amnesia lol

If I know capers don't keep a record I don't look a their posts. Several weeks ago it was funny to read some cappers going on and on how someone was a good capper--if you kept track of their picks for 2 weeks they were like 4-16 overall. Be careful, follow a capper for a while before you decide if they are worth following or not.

I dont mind if you keep no record if you just post occasionally or are just giving valuable insight and just spreading knowledge.

I kept record for 4 straight years. It is extra work ya but helps everyone to recognize who deserves recognition and who doesn't. I post maybe 2 games a month and dont feel a need for records until someone's posting consistently. ...


Guys like FCP and Hawkeye are few and far between. ...

It isnt about finding someone who keeps a record of wins and losses....its about finding someone who keeps an ACCURATE RECORD of wins and losses


I have seen so many fabricated records before and people who do not frequent the site jump all over it


I have no issues saying ive stunk last 12 months...I was very fortunate to run like i was for multiple years and you have to understand it will go both ways...that is why i have stopped posting plays mostly....do not want anyone following garbage...when tides turn i will maybe again.....but some cannot admit they stink...and continue to bump winning threads and ignore the losers.....i have been such unlucky run but again have been able to get some back thanks to the honest ones here who post quality plays...

Thats what seperates gambling sites.....quality cappers and plays....this site def. Has some who should be considered quality....


Anyways, hawkeye and fcp and guys like them are 100% honest and consistently consistent. ...thats all you can ask for.

There are guys like roqqin riq and jawaiin playa who I value their opinion w/ no record keeping, but just like the good honest ones, they are also few and far between in regards to guys a person can trust with no records

Posting a record helps but not paramount...Now it would probably be very helpful for a newbie but for the most of us we know who is consistent and helpful...Or at least i think i do...Most of us already have a opinion and we read a few post from our favs then either make the play or pass...Now if you generally just fire away without research that is a personal choice...I personally appreciate most all the info i gather here but like i said i know who i put most of my trust in..BTW this did not happen over nite...It took a long time reading and eliminating ...Great forum and very good cappers...Just be careful..
