Buddy: I saw this after the fact, sorry.

By chance, did you guys cover the parts about killing your insubordinate children, properly beating your slaves, or how to kill ifidels? Probably not. I don't think it should be called "Bible Study" if you only study a few parts and completely neglect others.

?It ain?t those parts of the Bible that I can?t understand that bother me, it is the parts that I do understand.?

Gary, that's pretty weak. What u are saying is that unless u discuss the whole Bible in it's entirety in each setting or at each study (we all know that's impossible) it's not a true study? The Old Testament is fantastic and full of great things. However, after Jesus came and gave us the new covenant with God, we don't have to do things by the old Law as they did in Old Testament times.

Gary,

Smurph,

There are 150 Psalms in the bible. The last five are called "Circular Psalms" because they begin and end with the phrase, "Praise ye the Lord". Two Psalms which I read on a regular basis are Psalm 34 and Psalm 40. Reading Proverbs is also very profitable. I use the King James Version of the bible. My wife and I are following a bible reading plan and try to read two chapters a day. This morning we read Mark 7 and Job 3. Blessed be the name of Jesus.

Clint: I don't expect a Bible Study group to cover the entire Bible in a session. My point is that I also don't expect them to cover any of the material that is absolutely repulsive to a young man living in the year 2008. You guys can feed me the new covenant lines all you like, but the Bible is "divinely inspired" and is "perfect". I have some serious issues with this perfect work.

I'd like to give equal billing to a study of the original Dungeons and Dragons rulebooks. Now there is some insightful shite. I think that is apropos with the RPG messiah dying this past week.

Lots of truth to be found there.
