I'm biased but on the replay the ball was already knocked away and he blatanly swings his elbow with total disregard.
The unfortunate part is that hansbrough is now gonna have to wear a mask which usually negatively affects players.

it looked like to me that henderson had his head turned in the opposite direction and was already in the process of jumping up for a block when the ball came loose. thats why i didnt think it was intentional. i wonder what will happen with a suspension now. that would be wrong, IMO
Henderson may be my fave Dukie of all time after that ridiculous elbow to the face. He obviously did it on purpose and it couldn't have happened to a larger bag of douche than Hansborough - well maybe Mcroberts....
All kidding aside though he's just a kid and it sucks to see someone get wrecked like that. Hopefully he won't have to play with a mask. Would love to see these two meet again in the tourny

Just a dirty, dirty play. I don't think he meant to do that much damage, but he was not going for the ball.
Duke is so lucky they got extra time against Clemson or they'd have a losing record in the tourney, which should keep teams out but doesn't...

why was tylerhansblow in the game and even trying to score? henderson was trying to block the ball and he swung. big deal. tyler has been a bully all year. go back home , saint, and work on his teeth.

packer sucks, he was just wrong in his call of the play. the ref's got it right, it was intentional. he was trying to put a hit on the guy. turk
unc took 6 shots in the final minute when they could have run out the clock. can't blame the white kid at the end when he tried 3 pter but duke got rebound and ran out the clock. hansborough is the roughest player in the acc and the duke kid was protecting his basket. i wish he could have pulled back but he didn't. he may have shut his eyes and just swung. a friend at the game said he heard roy saying when it was a 15 pt lead at the end to 'run them out of the gym'. well they tried .
Last home game(probably) and Hans should have been pulled during one of those fouls for the crowd.
I agree that he is both rough and an ass.
As for running them out of the gym. I think Roy is trying to get this team on track for the post season.They have not been strong of late.
I started this post because PACKER had it in his head that this was clearly an accident. THAT IS 50/50 on what he was trying to do in my opinion. The end result was proper since they watched it on replay and didn't just guess as to what they saw.
A lot of people may not like Packer, but it was nice seeing a UNC/Duke w/out listening to that windbag Vitale. JMO

I'm going to light a candle next week, do a freaking goofy Duke dance and draw pictures of running-up-the-score rats in suits to make this happen. And then I want to see Paulus try that shit on Brewer and have Florida's 12th man smack the shit out of him until he cries. Of course, the rest of the Duke bench will be crying anyway because they'll be down 20 at the time.

I think UNC was trying to run it up b/c there is so much hatred for Duke and they finally have a Duke team that is somewhat down. Taking out some frustration from the last several years of dominance.
At the same time....DUKE NEVER CONCEDED. If Duke keeps playing and fouling...why must UNC stop playing???
