Okay. I come from a town of about 55,000. We are not what you would call "overly ethnic". We have our share of minorities, but by and large, we are as white as rice!

One thing I have noticed over the years is this:

Black people seem to think they can do whatever they want with their cars!

Today I was getting my daughter from school. I parked down the street a 'fer piece', as there were no spots available near the school. As I went to the entrance, I heard horns honking. I looked out in the street, and there sits a 1990 Caddy (of course), at the stop sign across from the school. Not parked to the side, not driving by, but just sitting at the intersection! The guy inside doesn't have a care in the world! Doesn't give two shits about the traffic lined up behind him, as he waits for his kid to get out of school! In time, people started going around him, and yelling, honking more, flipping him off, etc.

By now, my daughter had come over by me, and we started walking back towards my car. At the same time, this guys tax write-off hops in the pimpmobile. The guys makes a right hand turn onto the cross street, and a lady in a van on the opposite side of the street honks and waves to him. He obviously knows her. How do i know this? He proceeded to shift his car into park and shoot the shit with her! Not pull over! No, no, no...... Park right in the middle of the fuking street! Cars backing up, again. Honking and swearing, again! WTF gives?

Is this what goes on out in the "real world', far away from my ivory white community? Can any of you relate to this? Who in the world would think this is "okay" behavior? Well, I kept looking back over my shoulder for him to move. People passed him for about 60 seconds I would guess, before he finally waved goodbye to the other gal, and pressed on with his day. I grabbed my daughter's hand and said, "Let's cross the street here." Of course, I had it timed so he would have to wait for us!

This Fluthermucker had the nerver to lay on his horn!!!!!!!!! I looked up at him and yelled, "You gotta be fukin' kidding me!!!" (Great parental discipline on my part, huh?:D ) Once I got "out of his way", he stepped on the gas, and squeeled that big ol V8's tires!

I gave my best Tommie Smith and John Carlos "Black Power" fist, to let him know I was "down with the struggle, my brutha!"

Life is good.

I have to agree YYZ.............I'm witcha homey!

What about the 55 to 98 mile per hour speed increase/decrease that gets played out in the fast lane on every interstate in America? I love watching this........Getting passed by the land yacht with 24's like I was a stump and then a 1/2 mile later having to go around this once speed boat now turned barge on the freeway! Oh it is soooooo frustrating at times!

I don't profess to be an expert on black ettiquitte, but from the limited time I've spend driving in black neighborhoods, this sounds like pretty much standard operating procedure.

One thing, yyz. You *had* to expect a reaction when you jaywalked in front of him. Not saying I would have done anything different to antagonize this j-brone, but you had to expect it.

Okay, just another racist thread. Jack, do we really need any more of these. I'm not gonna start ramblin and ranting about the crap that goes on in this site unnoticed.

Did you have a bad day....YES

Was the driver in the wrong.........100 % YES

Are you wrong to classify all black people and drivers......100 % YES

Just give it a break. Vent about a guy who did something wrong and pissed you off fine.....But why make it a race thing......So glad you are down with our struggle......gee that makes me sleep well at night......

Racism has to stop on this site. Getting out of hand.

Sorry for posting on an all white forum.......

It is what it is, bro!

Funny how anytime a person brings up something about an issue involving someone of a differing race, it has to be "racial".

This is not an isolated thing. I have seen it on a few occasions, and it always involved a "person of color", or whatever the term of the moment is. Did I 'dress up' the terminology a little? Sure! Having a little fun with a sore topic for me. I actually didn't have a bad day at all! I thought it was strange behavior, remembered seeing it in the past, and thought I would pose the question to the masses. Nick has responded that he has seen similar behavior, and I was hoping to see if others had this experience.

I'm sorry for steppin' on your toes, ez.

(Do you ever notice what I was talking about? I figure as long as you stopped by the thread, maybe you can enlighten me?)

yyz:

funny sh1t. yeah thats par for the course.

ez money:

why is it ok for guys like cedric the entertainer and chris rock to say the EXACT same thing repeatedly in their acts, yet youre gettin worked up over yyz saying it?

this "year 2003 definition" of racism is preposterous. anyone not adhering to absolute political correctness is a racist?

lighten up man. lets learn to laugh at ourselves a little bit. i dont get all worked up when my black friends dog me or my white counterparts. same with latinos. its all in good fun, and most of the time, we break each others balls over stuff that is true.

one of cedric the entertainers all time funniest bits was on kings of comedy when he says how the only time black people turn down their music is when they have to parallel park and then he proceeds to act it out to a thumping bass line. funny a$$ sh1t.

#1 I'm not your bro.

#2 I used to play professional baseball in the minor league syste til i hurt my knee. I still work out and would be happy to meet you.

#3 I have seen plenty of honky-toting confederate flags-driving pick up trucks drive badly.

#4 It is what it is fine. I don't care about your day. I'm sorry you had a bad experience with a driver. Why it matters what color it is shouldn't matter.

As for this site, Jack this is unexceptable. Being called a "bro" and having black remarks allowed in negative connotations is unacceptable. It's too bad for such a fine site.

YYZ let me know when you would like to meet.

I'll be at the Super Bowl party.

I would have played pro ball, but as a slow white guy, I didn't make the grade.

Did you say "honky"?

"JACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

So, I guess you have never seen anyone in your area do that with their car? That's cool. No big deal. Maybe it is just something that happens up this way.

And of course those hillbillies drive funky! It's pretty difficult to drive while your sister gives you a hummer! (At least that's what I hear!)

In closing, you are right. The color of the driver doesn't matter. The fact that I have never seen anyone else do this is a moot point.

Now, lets get this place back to where it belongs. I extend a cyber handshake to you!:)

Almost daily, white people merge into my lane while making a right turn from a side street and cause me to basically slam on my brakes, even though there isn't a car behind me for a half a mile. That upsets me. Well, most of the time it's a white person. Sometimes they're black or hispanic. It's often hard to tell, unless it's somebody in a 1990 caddy(of course). A pimpmobile if you will. You just know that if somebody is in a pimpmobile, or a caddy, they just have to be black(of course). But mostly, they're white. Sometimes they're old, sometimes they're young. Sometimes they're in pimpmobiles, sometimes in a Lexus. It's getting ridiculous, these white people. And those blacks and hispanics.

Award for most ignorant thread of the month shouldn't be that difficult to predict for September.

yup....Driver's can be black (Donald to be more precise) and he is helping put the hurt to da bears right now....LOL

as far as the initial post from YYZ........ EZ, i didn't really see it as racist as much as posing the question "is this normal/acceptable behavior by blacks?"

face it, like he said....Fond du Lac is predominately very white, and he doesn't see this happen daily as those of us that drive in or close to big cities do.

as Nick answered, YES, it is considered acceptable and normal to blacks.......SO WHAT?? how does asking make a person a racist?
(and i will guarantee you that Nick isn't one)

i'm sure there are many *honky habits* that blacks see as irritating, and that doesn't make one a racist either...it's just a difference of acceptable/non-acceptable.

very glad to know that YYZ and company will be at the party this year, i will finally get to *present* him with his special cap....and Nick and Chioma, you had better be there this year too....i still owe you a waitressing :D

My lovely wife, who is Oriental, enjoys this humorous story.

While giving the weather report, our local weatherman said, "And for you folks in our Nation's Capitol, the Japanese Prime Minister is enroute from Tokyo to visit with the President so be advised there's a little nip in the air!"
