FWIW - I've been very happy with my Storm.... sure it had some issues when it first came out, but the operating system upgrades have helped a lot....

It is not an Iphone - nor is it meant to be. Different target market - business folks - at least that is what it seems to me.

I like it....

But I do agree - check out the Droid - if I didn't need BB functionality, that is what I'd be checking out...

Curious as to what business functionality you're getting out of the BB that the iPhone and Droid can't handle.

Blackberry email is 2nd to none wiht their push technology which is patented. The email reliability, with the BB service, is what's key to me.

Talked to other business folks that have done both - and they end up going back to one of the BB models - due to the priopriety technology.

And I just like it????? I also like my IPOD touch - I just don't want an IPOD for a phone I guess.

Plus, I HAVE to use Verizon, since they are a client - can't use AT&T (nor would I want to - Verizon network if by far the best). So Iphone would not be an option anyway.

I had the blackberry curve and liked it....saw the storm and bought it. As soon as I put it in my hands, and saw that I couldn't feel the keyboard, I gave it to a subordinate.

I have a new curve and won't ever change to storm.

I do understand... it was a challenge for me to switch to a virtual keyboard.... you'd hate the Iphone too, as it has a similiar keyboard.... I do miss a "regular" keyboard sometimes too - but I love the big screen of the Storm - especially as I get older - it is easier to see!

I'm in the minority and with Mags here. I got the Storm and while it's locked up a few times, it hasn't been overly burdensome. I kinda like the touch screen, but it has been difficult to get used to.....

I generally adverse to change so, I like what I'm using (Storm), it does what I need it to do...and I don't feel like re-learning how to use a new phone. LOL

Not sure if you have used an iPhone but the way our exchange email works so smoothly is one of the three things I constantly praise about it (the other two being how awesome the voice mail function works - you know that bitch that makes you make 20 seconds before listening to a voice mail - yeah she's gone and you can play them on demand - very sweet; the other being the way the face deactivates when you put the phone to your head - pretty cool).

Not sure what qualifies as a "business" person to you, but I certainly get a lot of business functionality out of the iPhone.

If it weren't for the crappy phone part of it, I wouldn't have any complaints.

Here is a link to a new article comparing all of them.

Note: I, personally, didn't read this, so I don't know which came out on 'top'

Dawg - I do understand - the Iphone has its fans.. and if it would have been available on Verizon, I would have considered it...

I had a phone that used Microsoft Exchange - which I'm pretty sure the iphone uses... it is nice, but it's not BB. I was amazed at the difference when I switched to BB a year ago...

I doubt I'll leave BB....it was a game changer in my mind.

But I know a LOT of people that love their Iphones too (but most complain about AT&T)

Again - I had to stay Verizon, so BB was the best possible choice for me, given the network.

the regular keyboard is going to be what puts the droid over the top for me. i've resisted the blackberrys and iphones stuff for a long long time and simply just use a laptop.. but now.. that Droid is looking good.

wait until 6 november when verizon rolls out their phone that competes against the iphone. It uses google's Android 2.0 and it going to be slicker than snot.

It's called "Droid"

actually...there are 2 droid phones coming out by verizon wireless and they are both sick. played with em both. One is made by htc and one is made by motorola. The motorola is very similar to the g1 for tmobile and the htc is all touch screen no physical keyboard. These 2 phones do everything that "idon't". haha

I agree i work very closely with phones and know a lot about em. I had owned both the curve and now I own the storm. The storm 2 has a few major differences...the screen has 4 pressure points instead of one so its easier to type on. The storm 2 has 5.0 software but now the storm 1 has that availabe so no longer a big difference. Storm 2 has 2 gb of onboard memory and 16 gb of removable memory which is double of storm 1. I still say wait for the droid I have a feeling this is the phone that will allow verizon to overcome the iphone hump.

This is so strange......my wife has an iPhone as does several people at work and they all say they haven't had any problems with their service.....

Must have a lot to do with where you live......

it has a lot to do with where you live. att has the fastest 3g network but only where it works. In more places than not, the iphone cannot connect to 3g network which is the main purpose for the phone. Verizon's 3g network is HUGEEEEEEEE in the U.S. ATT can't compare

The iPhone doesn't use Microsoft Exchange, per se. We use Exchange and it happens to work seamlessly on the iPhone.

I believe, the way the device is designed, it is set up where you don't need a separate setup for email.

Interesting.... if Iphone ever comes to Verizon, I'm sure I'll take a look at it....
