Happy new year to all !
Now that it's playoff time, I will bring up a system that I came upon years ago at another site.

Teams that have more blowouts (21pts. or more ) in the regular season do very well in the playoffs.

Just match-up the 2 teams playing.

Wild Card Round;

K.C. - 41-0 (1)
Indy. - 45-21 (1)

Dallas - 45-14, 34-6, 35-14, 38-10 (4)****
Seattle - (0)

Jets - 38-10 (1)
N.E. - 38-13, 28-6, 31-7, 35-0, 40-7 (5)****

N.Y.G. - (0)
Philly. - 31-9, 27-3 (2) **

I'll keep this going as we get the match-ups next week.

got this from another site...

Forgetting where I got this from at the moment, but I wrote it down a couple of weeks ago when I saw it. This trend is 15-2 ATS since 2003.

Play ON any team who has had 3 or more blowout wins (wins by at least 20 points) vs any team that doesn't in the playoffs.

Teams w/ 3 or more blowout wins...
AFC
New England
Baltimore
San Diego

NFC
Dallas
New Orleans
Chicago

Nice system AR182! So, I suppose the Cowboys would be the only play this coming weekend..right? Because Seattle is the only team who has "0" blowout games.....

That's weird because I would have thought that if a team played a lot of close games they would be "battle tested" or do they wear down from the constant pressure-packed playing??

Ya..I know. 15-2 since 2003 has my attention though. I think DAL gets it done and bounces back! They won there back in preseason with Romo at QB, so atleast he's experienced playing at SEA already. I can't see Romo making the Pro Bowl and losing in the 1st round....SEA has been very poor this season.

The Dallas locker room looks like a scene out of animal house. Combine that with the fact that the defense is
playing like the worst in the NFL.
The play is Seattle or no play, IMO. Dallas stinks right now.

Cowboys can not play any worse than they have been lately...the only thing they can do is play better. I think the matchup vs SEA is just what they needed because SEA has stunk this season as well. Both teams coming in losing 3/4....My lean is to DAL right now, but still have the week to hear comments and see what new developments happen.

I do have info on the 3 or more blow outs
from 1994 - 2002 the system was 26-11-2
iThe systems only losing year was in 1995 went 2-4 so from that point of view it seems very solid. TOm

RightSide, was that preseason game the one where Romo played the entire game?? And if so, do you think Parcells had this scenario in mind?

So Cal
While we are on the subject of the cowboys ,
They are +1250 to win the NFC.
The more I anaylize it , I think they have as good a shot as anyone in the NFC.
I know the road won't be easy but it's not impossible. They have the best coach in the NFC playoffs. IMO this is a good value bet as the NFC IMO is wide open.

Yes...Romo played the entire game that preseason game. I have no idea if Parcell's had this scenerio in mind...I don't think so though. That's way too far in advance to be thinking like that at that time in preseason.......

Regardless of the final score,Seattle blew out the NYGiants, this game was 42-3 at the start of the 4th,you're kidding yourself if you thik the Giants 27 4th qtr points prevented that from being considered a blowout.Seattle had 16 point margin victories against Oakland and Tbay, maybe not a blowout in your book, but easy victories. The whole NFC is in a shambles.Hope the system works for you.

If one wants to test the reliability of a system...You can't be stretching it to fit more games...it's +20 or it's nothing....Or else, tell us how many DAL won by 16-19...?

GL guys...I'm on DALLAS this Saturday night also.

'Boys have scored 25.6 ppg since Romo has taken over at QB. Dallas rushes for 121 ypg. Seattle is just 5-3 at home this season - and dropped their last 2 at Qwest. One of those 5 wins was by just 2 over St. Louis, or they would have been 4-4. The Seahawks may also be missing up to 3 of their DB's for this one, too.

Interesting stat I heard on Colin Cowherd's radio show today-- The last 5 qbs Dallas has faced lit them up for almost 400 yards of offense per game. These qbs (Kitna, Eli, Vick, Garcia, and Brees) have a combined passer efficiency ratting of 119. In comparison, Peyton Manning led the lleague in that category with a 113.
This stat is courtesy of a Dallas beat writer and he also says that Seattle will have all 4 of the WRs healthy for the first time this year to go along with a healthy Alexander and Hasselbeck.

Just FYI!!!
