I just finished the finale. Some thoughts.
Very good season, I'm definitely looking forward to season three. Season one definitely sputtered at times but it needed to be done for character development.
Jimmy had to go. I liked his character as an underling but he was just not meant to be big dog. I don't know if it was him as an actor or how they wrote his part but he was never believable in that role...at least to me.
Kudos to the writers for killing off who they needed to, to push the story in new directions. I could see the appeal in keeping the same circle of characters and story lines but at some point there needs to be progress. Case in point is Entourage, one of my favorite series. They had an opportunity to really push the story line with the rift between E and Vince but in the end they just rewrote the same storyline over and over. Enjoyable, but eventually it got old.
The final scene with nucky...the lines just seemed so forced to me. But good way to end things.
I hope our masked friend keeps a big role his character is awesome!
