Boasting & Posting without records

Many on this forum like to put up multiple plays without reason and sometimes without logic. Some of these cappers are "Respected" simply because they have posted at MJ for a long time. However the ability to post lots of games does not mean they have been successful cappers. They usually do not keep or post records, thus it is easy for them to keep giving out 10* and 20* plays: Big$$$$$$ plays, big parlay plays, etc. Follow their results before you become captivated by the number of post they have.

I know I am treading on thin ice because some of the "followers" are quick to defend these "old timers". I'm just saying be careful about putting a lot of confidence on cappers (or crappers) who are either to diorganized to keep records or cannot demonstrate winning records.

Unless someone is betting those selections blindly, it shouldn't be a problem. Purpose here is to exchange information and selections. I know the boasting is especially aggravating, but, if you've noticed, the real good cappers seldom, if ever boast. Problem with records is that the "boast and post" crowd probably does not keep accurate records. I remember more than a few that would post 4 or 5 plays (all losers) and come back next day and tell us about the ones they couldn't post - all winners. Just suggest you evaluate players over time before using their info. This is a great site. GLTA

no one is responsible for the bets they place but the person that places them.
if you play a game it is because you liked it if you are blindly following someone else
you have no business gambling on sports.you will lose . many times plays are made too late to post here many times a computer is not available to allow posting here.
I don't presume you are talking about me as i don't get to post often enough for any one too follow me but i never started keeping up with my record simply because i couldn't possibly post all of my play here and i didn't see the sense in keeping up with haly the story and no one wants to hear about those "big" winners that weren't posted first.
others may have the same reasoning as me.the only point i want to make is that i post what i play when i can. if my plays lose i lose . if anyone wants to play those same games god bless them i wish everyone all the luck in the world. but no one wins all the time. don't bash people just play and enjoy it or get out of it . i love sports and i love gambling i can't imagine one with out the other. if you don't like sports go to the casino pull that handle till your arm fall off hey i do that too sometimes . but don't get down on people who are taking there time too try to help others even if it doesn't always work out

If it doesn't apply to you then you shouldn't worry about. The point is that some try to sound like they have all the answers and are hitting it big every day but they never post their record.

No biggy if it does not apply to you. If it does describe you then either post your record or don't brag. A lot of young inexperienced cappers come here and blindly follow those who seem experienced and are touting 20*** locks, etc. I just think it is BS and I hope those inexperienced cappers look to someone like Nolan who manages to keep his records, explain the reasons for his selection, and cautions others about getting to excited and betting over their heads.

Obviously you can say whatever you want but don't take others with you unless you can stand behind your claims.

Snoozing...you make a great point which is why you will now be the subject of harrassment by some of the lemmings residing here.

I tried to express the same view last year and was a bit shocked by the number of people who object to the simple premise that posters include their record.

There's alot of great info here posted by respectable and ethical people and this is a very good site.

Anyone with their eyes open can separate the consistent cappers versus those whose strategy is to pound their plays in relationship to if they have to make up for a bad day or not.

why don't you grow some eyes and READ all of snoozing's posts. perhaps he's talking about RAYMOND or you? i respect the time you guys put into capping, but if you have a "sack" post your records. i especially respect the cappers that do...like jmizeus and kcwolf.

Who are you and what's the reasoning from the post. If somebody plays a selection based just on somebodies post...mark it, they are a fool and deserve to lose. Luv to know who you guys think you are and Redking, that's definately not right coming in and popping smack. Fletch definately doesn't deserve that kinda chit. Whether he wins or loses, boasts or no boasts, I respect the man as a person and a capper, and you couple of fellas, never seen anything come from you, so can't pass judgement, but from my 1st impressions, which are usually on the $$$.....you get the drift

I think the general theme of the original post had some merit; maybe just wasn't written as deferentially as could've been.

Speaking from my own pt of view, I've combined capping my own games in some sports (Super 12 and NRL, which I post in the Off the Wall forum, college hoops and partly the NFL) while I do follow certain cappers in those sports and others. Not blindly; I just take extra notice of their posts and will play if I think it warrants it. The only person I have played all plays without fail was Nolan in the NFL.
Simply, I don't have time to 'cap all sports - no-one does. If I can follow a few people who I consider to be logical, thoughtful and provide some rundown of why they made their picks, then I'm happy to pull the trigger. I'm betting with a bankroll that cost me nothing to set-up (for a couple of reasons) and enjoy following the action, and although I try to employ careful money management I don't sweat a loss too badly.
In doing so, I prefer guys who do post a record. To me, it shows organisation and money management and I'm particularly impressed by guys who continue to post all details when they're not making a profit as it shows they're in for the long haul.
Therefore, I don't follow Raymond or Fletcher's picks, but I do read 'em and I know there are heaps of people - both long-termers and newcomers - who do and appreciate them. And if they don't want to post their records; cool.
So what am I trying to say? As others have, no-one pushes you to follow others and it's your money to make your choices with. But even if you're going to coat-tail someone, it still takes a bit of effort, nous and smarts to make money - which is what we're all about, right?

reddick or what ever you name is i do post my recoard each day if i won or lost did it in football eachday showing if i was up or down for the day and baseball all last year till someone said he can't bet like that if you want start from when i started till now and i think you will see i am up and have never bosted about it,did i say anything on wen 7-0 almost 9000 no did i post i was doen 5000+ yes
the only reason basket was in stars because i got questios like who is your best bet how much should i play and so on so for the 4th time in less then a year a tried to get a system so everyone could follow and still hear shit thats ok pal my bills are paid,so to say that i donot post if i lose is bull shit,and for ray i'm quite sure that he does fine in fact i know it,i'm also sure he is done because of smart ass remarks.
