Missed by a long shot.

Should they have gotten in on the first ballet?

Should they get in next year?

Never?

Personally I think make them miss the first try and vote them in next year.

Opinions?

Can I vote to make them wait a few years before letting them in until this whole PED's thing calms down and we learn to accept that pretty much everybody was doing them back then?

On the course!
The game has been "fixed" forever. Christ, guys were popping pills 50 years ago!

Pitchers have been juicing balls, bats have been fucked with, etc, etc.

If you tossed every 'cheater' out of the Hall, it would be a closet!

Once again.............get outta my head fucker...........pretty much my thoughts on the whole thing. When Hammerin Hank admitted to taking a fistful of amphetamines every four innings I honestly thought reasonable heads would prevail. Then I logged in here and I was reminded how there are less reasonable people than there are chest pounders.

Hope that helps.

BBWAA is a joke.

It's like okay you really showed them by not letting them in year one...now next year they're hall of famers?

What "message" is sent?

Also, 15 yrs til you're off the ballot? You're either a HOF or not.

Baseball is a joke.

If not for the fact that Aaron Sele received a vote. That person should have their vote taken away.

I will echo that the baseball HOF is terrible and a joke. I never understood the whole "he's not a first ballot hall of famer". If he's not deserving one year, what the fuck has he done during another year of retirement that makes him deserving? Get a bunch of fans to start a 'grass-roots' movement to get the guy more recognition. What a sham.

They honestly need to start voting guys "out". The other thing is the comparison of stats. Well mediocre guys from the modern era are getting voted in due to the fact their stats are compared favorable to guys from the prior era.

Take a look at some of the guys getting votes, even if they are nowhere near the 75% mark. When does making a couple of all-star games get you HOF consideration?

It should be an elite club. Not a gathering of every decent player that played several seasons.
