Has not pitched above A ball until this year where he was in AA Greenville.

left-hander 21-year-old from Korea who was 2-1 with a 4.03 ERA for Class AA Greenville.

Anyone eyeing Schilling tonight may want to tread cautiously. Not sure if Shef will be back in the lineup but Bong is a decent pitcher. Highly touted out of Korea. Combine that with him being a LHP and a little different look without much/if any advance scouting, and you might have the makings of a low scoring game where the Braves come out on top. With that said, I haven't seen him in AA this year but saw him a number of times last year in Carolina league and he could deal.

I think you or anyone just needs to be cautious initially. Remeber Josh Towers? There's a guy that is probably a AA pitcher, but he dealt it out for a few starts before people figured it out. But then again you see some legit P's who get rocked their first outing. Tough call.

NO WAY SHILLING LOSES 2 IN A ROW, BONG IS GONNA GIVE UP ATLEAST 3 RUNS AND THAT IS ALL THE D'BACKS NEED. SHEFFIELD SHOULDNT MAKE THE DIFFERENCE. SHEFFIELDS PAST FEW GAMES HAVENT BEEN THAT GOOD FOR HIM. I SEE VALUE IN THE D'BACKS TONITE

I see no value in any side that you have to lay 2 to win 1. I have seen spots like this many times before. Where a #1 pitcher pitches against some minor league kid. I will take my chances on the + number just for the fact that Arizona does not know to much about this guy. One other thing to take into consideration this number opened @ -165 -170 in some spots.

i don't get why you can't see value in a 2 to 1 bet.....

if you think Schilling goes better than 20-10 against a first timer, then there is value.....I personally think that the D-backs win this one 3 outta 4 times.....so i think there is great value in it.....

I can respect that. IMO I just see no reason laying that kind of juice. If youlay that kind of juice on a regular basis you will be in the poor house. If you take Arizona tonight good luck to ya. I am going to take my chances with the younger guy. Just got one of those feelings.

Yeh, I see the value with the D-backs too! Schilling, who lost his last game, will be ready to throw. Yes sometimes a rookie comes up and bewilders hitters since they havn't seen him, but he better be ready to throw a shut out or 1 run game.

Is this a sure thing, of course not, but the break even point for a -200 game is wining 66% of them.

I think schill would win this match up at that rate. Not sure why people automatically go against a high priced game. Sure if you cap and find some kinda value against it then do it. But taking +200 dogs on a hunch doesn't seem like value to me.

BTW - I'm not saying anyone is doing this, but there are a lot of cappers who refuse to lay the heavy wood. I'm just saying sometimes the wood is worth it!

Good Luck to ALL

Go D-Backs

P.S. Where's ALWAYS PRAYING? You'd think he'd be all over this Bong? :)

so far a tough night for JB, but you can tell he'll be a guy before long.

Anyone see the talk about how the Koreans fix the mound between each half inning for the next (opposing) pitcher? Pretty good stuff....

Well it looks like for the first time in my life i have learned a lesson from a Bong:
ATLANTA ip h r er bb so hr era
J Bong 6 8 5 5 2 4 0 7.50

at least the Dbacks caught a pretty killer buzz after taking 8 hits off the Bong:cool:

A few weeks ago I wrote about the merits of taking Johnson and Schilling. ML and RL bets.

Well 20 games into the season these bets are 16-2!

Say an average of -220 on the ML
and -125 on the RL and with $100 Units

7 x 100 = 700
1 x -220 = -220

7 x 100 = 700
1 x -125 = -125

That comes to +$1055.

Like I said before ride that horse till it drops!

Are all heavy favorites worth it? No. But if you pick the spots there's money to be made.

Don't under estimate the D-backs, everyone did last year and they got the rings!
