Yeh, I see the value with the D-backs too! Schilling, who lost his last game, will be ready to throw. Yes sometimes a rookie comes up and bewilders hitters since they havn't seen him, but he better be ready to throw a shut out or 1 run game.
Is this a sure thing, of course not, but the break even point for a -200 game is wining 66% of them.
I think schill would win this match up at that rate. Not sure why people automatically go against a high priced game. Sure if you cap and find some kinda value against it then do it. But taking +200 dogs on a hunch doesn't seem like value to me.
BTW - I'm not saying anyone is doing this, but there are a lot of cappers who refuse to lay the heavy wood. I'm just saying sometimes the wood is worth it!
