IMO, ncaa declared newton eligible to ensure that TCU would not be in a position too play in the title game. If newtons out, south carolina most likely wins and the bcs and ncaa is in a bad spot with TCU being the number two seed. With newton playing, auburn and oregon most likely win, and make sure that the bcs and college foots do not have too worry abuot tcu playin in the title game.

I may be way off with everything above, but regardless its bullshit that its playing out like it is. I am not a fan of nor am I a anit- cam newton guy, but for him to be declarded eligible after how others have been suspended for similar stuff, wow i was totally suprised when i saw this today.

Somebody needs to teach you how to Lutzie.... :SIB

Gamecocks are going to ruin the NCAA's evil plan. Oregon State completes the picture by upsetting Oregon. NIGHTMARE for BCS, TV, and advertisers !! No one watches TCU playing for national title vs. Stanford. Tickets will be given away in attempt to fill the stands in the Fiesta Bowl.

Maybe this has to happen to get a playoff system.

Cmon, you need to be in a mental ward if you think the NCAA ,made this decision in an anti-tcu fashion:toast:

just saw wilbon on tv and he said something similar(ha not that wilbon really means shit)....i said i could be way off, which may be the case, but at least im not the only one thinking it could be a possibilty....

I've seen a couple of articles written about it too. There is a provision in the BCS rules that says pairings can be altered after the selection process if alternate pairings will have a greater or lesser appeal to fans measured by expected ticket sales, tv ratings and the financial impact on ESPN.

So, don't think for once this decision can't be a way to keep TCU out of the NCG. I'm not saying it happened that way. Just saying it's a possibility.

I 100% think it had something too do with the decision. I am not saying it was the whole reason, but it surely had something too do with it.

I am an Auburn Alum, fan and booster. With that being said, I too am perplexed at how this case was handled. It should have been over and done with many months ago. When the NCAA and the SEC drug their feet for too long and let it hang in the balance since JANUARY! That is the Joke and the other Joke is all the Haters that are out to get Cam Newton. Ask yourself this before you type away anonymously at your keyboard. Would you be bitching and whining and moaning if Cam Newton was your Quarterback..........then answer that question honestly! :0074

You're right... The SEC and NCAA have handled this very poorly... In fact they created more controversy and confusion...

As for your request... You also need to ask yourself this... How would you feel if Cam played for Bama or some other SEC school??

The same way I did when they swept the Julio and Ingram boat rides under the rug.........I let it go and have basically not discussed it until bama fans want to run around with their chest stuck out talking shit about our QB even though they let him kick their asses..........That is how!

Corley, I am willing to bet that you would have no problem if Cam was a bulldog. Am I correct in assuming this?

Man I have no problem with Cam or Auburn... Your argument is basically stating I'm hating because Cam doesn't play for MSU and plays for Auburn... By the way this is a little bit bigger than boat rides... But anyway Im not blinded by hate... Cam is great... He's a freaking beast... But I'm also a realist and can take step back and see the bigger picture here and see there is something very fishy going on... I'm not here blasting Cam or Auburn

No no no no, don't get me wrong. Dude I like you, in an internet message board kinda way, so I am just giving you shit. I am just to the point where I am tired of all the angles that people are trying to explore. My point of the boat rides were that when the NCAA made their ruling then it was over, leave it at that and let them figure it out! I absolutely hate everything that comes out of tuscaloosa but I am grounded enough to know that even as fishy as some guy saying he had no idea who julio and ingram were, it was ruled upon and they played. The NCAA ruled on Cam and he is playing........end of story. But a load of Jackwagons will not let it die because they know there is something else......black helicopters and shit! Hell I know a little bit about this subject anyways.......I played Golf with Jon Bond this summer and he told me every bit of this story in JUNE! Old Waverly is a wonderful place but that is where the talk is talked in MS!

Good luck on your plays........

I've got a Heisman bet on James. Only reason I really give a fuck.

However, regardless what the NCAA has done is a complete joke. They should have kept their mouth shut until the investigation is over.

By the way this is not the end of it. For me it is, but he will eventually be ruled ineligible and the season will be wiped out and rightly so for Auburn.

Haha I get ya... My take on the ruling was that he is ok to play but we are still looking into it... Which is fine but what bothers me is that MSU basketball player, Renardo Sidney, sat out all of last year and is sitting out 9 games this year and they find no wrong doing... Just assumptions... Am I wrong for being confused and thinking that's unfair?

Corley, i agree that issue with your hoops guy is complete bullshit. I respect your opinion and the way you've delivered it. As I said earlier, the rulling and its timing are odd at best. Its been a cluster from the start. And if Cam played at Ala or LSU or MSU, i'd be going batshit.

As it stands, i'm pretty happy about all of it.:0074
