Traffic is the morning is a bitch to BTown......Pub T opens up more areas depending on what he's looking for to live in.....Many nice areas and many slums that are not so nice, ie Lawrence for one?..:0008
I deliver on the eastside of Boston weekly and there are nice hubs near public trans....

The ride into Logan from Peabody will be tough but there is really no way to get around it. The problem with the T, public transportation, is that it is expensive. Parking is going up from 6 bucks a day to 9. But as for places to live plenty of nice communities around Boston. Traffic is a problem that I have not figured a way around.
I have not dealt with any realtors for years actually. Century 21 is pretty big around here but I do not know any personally.

Peabody is not a bad town. I assume he is looking to buy a home? What kind of commute is he looking for?
I grew up right next to Boston just to the north, also lived north of Boston a little ways west of Peabody.
We just sold my mother in laws house just outside Boston a few months ago, I could get that realtors info if you like. Market is hot! I live in Southern New Hampshire now, but still work in Mass, but not Boston.

The amount of money he is looking to spend will most likely decide how close to Boston he buys. Let me know if you want my opinion on any specific cities he may be looking to buy in.
