Pretty excited about it. Great area, perfect starter place for my wife and I. Feels good I'm not paying my landlord's mortgage anymore, renting sucks. Good situation too, got in to it before it went on the open market and in Alexandria, Virginia that's a good thing because it would have been a bidding war at the price I got it. Also, I'm renting it back to the owner at my mort. pmt for 60 days at the sellers request which is good for me because I'll be able to finish up my lease...perfect situation...

Off to Vegas at the end of the month too, life is good.. :)

nothing like buying at the peak of the real estate bubble- will Tom Sawyer be coming over to help paint the fence- oops, condos don't have fences

life is good- for the seller and broker who saw you coming a mile away :mj07: :mj07: :mj07:

So Cal
S LOVE - Glad to know that we have one real estate expert in here. People, especially in So Cal, have been saying the real estate bubble has burst for the last three years. I have bought and sold 3 times in last 3 years and basically doubled the value of my house with same investment. Glad I didn't listen to those experts that told me the bubble had burst in late 2002. Why would anyone rag on a guy for no reason. By the way, out here condos have been the fastest movers with excellent appreciation. Years ago condos were clearly the bottom of the market. In both California and Las Vegas condo is becoming king. New developments are sprouting up weekly - high rises everywhere in Vegas from $500,000 to $5,000,000 and lofts have been the rage in California for the last year.

condos are turning over very rapidly here also....

i just backed out of an offer i made on a condo because another person offered $5000 more than the actual asking price(which was my offer) & i refuse to get into a bidding war on real estate.

btw, bidding wars are becoming common place out here.

s-love, i'm a realtor & loan officer in so. cal. you need to check your facts before you act like that. you cant even get into a condo or home thats decent unless you outbid other people. i wonder what your qualifications are to give such advice.

Whenever he speaks I am always reminded of that old saying about keeping your mouth shut and letting people wonder if you're an idiot......

another hilarious line from the resident Math Geek here at MadJack's- too bad his Ex couldn't find any excitement in the sack while Kotex's Dad was whispering Pascal's Triangle in her ear

maybe Kotex's Dad and the 2 SoCal homo's in this thread can play rub-a-dub-dub who's got my club in Kneifl's new jacuzzi tub. Just make sure Kneifl's out walking the dog.
