WV

Under WV

WV played a tougher schedule, wants to make up for totally getting smashed in their 1st meeting. When the line has been under 7 over the last ten years btwn these two (in other words, a competitive game), the dog has covered and usually wins. I haven't liked Maryland's game all year and they may relax here against an opponent that has shown balls in adverse situations earlier in the year. WV will do what they do, RUN, only better this time and with a more intense D than earlier in the year. O/U is 3/11 in WV road games when avenging an earlier loss. After scoring 37 or more in their previous game, Maryland is 3/11 O/U, 0/3 O/U this year. For whatever reason, Maryland is 1/7 O/U on Thurs, 0/3 O/U this year:shrug:

Also, the next game after a blowout win has gone Under all 3 times over the last 10 years.

Purdue

I know this isn't how you are normally suppose to bet these bowl games, Purdue hasn't looked all that strong closing out the season. But I live by Indiana, and their is really nothing there worth getting up for except a good deal on fireworks. They matched yards with Ohio St but two turnovers did them in there. It turns out their earlier loss to Bowling Green wasn't the monster upset it was originally thought to be. Georgia won and covered thier next game after earlier loses this season, but that last lose was brutal.

Under Michigan/USC

I like this trend...

USC is 2/8 O/U in road games vs. excellent ball control teams, 32 or more possession minutes/game.

I think Michigan has to establish the running game against USC and sit on the ball as much as possible. When they lost to Oregon, they rushed the ball 28 times. They never ran under 33 times the rest of the season. Later in the year, they played Mich St and ran it 55 times. They won't stop running the ball even if USC has some success stopping it. I hope the coach knows Navarre is not the type of QB that is going to carry you in games like this. He has never been, I don't care if USC's D is softer there, they need to more importantly keep the ball away from USC's offense.

for action

I'm on them small (for now)

think the big line move in the face of the homecourt advantage and Miami's recent streak of wins against FL St is indicating the winning play IMO.

Also, old man Bowden was in an interview talking smack about how this isn't the game he wanted and this isn't a true BCS game.

He's a pro. He doesn't spout out like that impulsively before any game, let alone a game against Miami. His seniors haven't beaten Miami yet and he'll have FL St ready to bring it. How many times in recent history has a senior class from FL St never beaten Miami? I'll take Fl St's QB and coaching staff over Miami's in this one.

(Also played the Under small)

(sorry, was suppose to say Fl St at the top, if you couldn't figure it out from my write-up)

Tenn

Two loses were against strong run oriented teams. They've played better passing teams in FL and Marshall and won. They lost this same game last year bad and have had that memory in their heads for a year now. Tenn is 2-0 ATS with two weeks or more of rest this year, Clem is 0-1, 8-13 in the past. They have played 9 games in January (5-4 SU and ATS) while Clem has played three and lost all of them (in last 12 years). I'm not a big fan of the Tenn coach or of the season Tenn has had to this point but I think they are much the class in this one.

Under

Clem is 1/5 O/U on turf, against winning teams they are 11/22 O/U (0/3 this year), as a dog 11/17 O/U (0/4 this year), 5/13 O/U of a bye week, 4/11 O/U with two weeks or more of rest, 1/3 as a nuetral field dog. Tenn trends to the Over in this one but I think (hope) they will want to keep the ball away from Clemson's O which just scored 63 at S Carolina and has av 43 pts in their last three. As I said, I'm not a fan of Tenn coach, I don't know if he will see the game I do. Hopefully he gets diarrhea from something he puts in his pie-hole and somebody smarter has more of an affect on the entire game plan. Lord knows he doesn't push himself away from the table too often.
