Looks like 2 winners.

Miles and Carr will be outcoached by Weiss and Carroll. Plus, Mich is disappointed a/b lost title shot and LSU is disappointed a/b missed shot at playing in the Rose Bowl.

I need 2 for the Sugar if you run across any.

If Notre Dame is facing a top defense, doesnt that pose some problems?

I think SC rolls...Carroll outcoaches Carr.

These predictions point to how good the Michigan team must be. To go 11-1 with Lloyd Carr's milquetoast coaching is unreal. Plus don't forget that the Rose Bowl is a home game for USC.

Upon further review, ND under Weiss has lost convincingly each time they've been "outclassed" in terms of athleticism, except the USC game last season.

Plus, LSU D will be healthy for 1st time since early in the Bama game and Pelini will have a month to get them ready.

A likely no-play for me despite the HUGE gameday coaching edge for ND.

Don't you think USC will be disappointed as well, having the best shot to play in the National Championship and failing? Now they are basically playing another home game for their bowl.

why USC now, they havent played well over the course of the year ... even in their "run" of home games, they were not dominate vs dux or cal until late in game ... maybe usc will "show up" for this bowl game, but gotta think theres other games with much better sense of feel ... I havent liked usc all year, dont like booty, and only reason i wouldnt bet Michigan is that its another home game for usc... that said, Id like to hear why you like usc... and I dont mean to come in here and say youre nuts b/c I dont know squat--i was dumb enuff to think usc could cover 5 vs mediocre bruins

I realize the info is slow to get down south, but the reason Michigan is so much better this season is because of the improved coaching moves. New coodinators were brought in after Carr finally realized his team needed a new direction.

I havent looked at returning players and there are probably some questionable players about whether they will return or not.....but is the Rose Bowl going to be a legitimate game to determine who will be the Preseason #1 next year?

I know Florida will be up there too, but I really think that the Rose Bowl will determine this ranking.

And if that is the case, you can bet your ass that Carroll will sell his young players on that while LLLLLoyd is sitting on his thumbs wondering why he didnt get a chance to get pounded by the Buckeyes again.

Iowa + 11' over Texas

I know that Iowa is very mediocre this year, but this has to be an unmotivated Texas team.
A month ago they were looking at running the table and getting another shot at #1. Since that they were beaten by two unranked teams. There was alot of talk in Austin about getting to Glendale now they're taking a bus ride an hour and a half down the road.
OHHH how excited they must be.
QB is still dinged up and only backup is a walkon.
Reminds me of TX/ Wash St. Holiday Bowl. A favored but unmotivated TX team lost straight up.
Anyway this is a definite play for me.

When you are playing powerhouses like Ball State and the rest of the big 10, I could coordinate that defense...

Everyone was on their nuts before the OSU game talking about how good their D was...and then they got exposed. Because they played a truly talented team. Coordinators can only make little difference. You are only as good as your players, and giving up over 500 yards to the Buckeyes shows that Michigan defense is nothing special

UM will sit and cry for the next month wondering what went wrong when they should just look at themselves in the mirror and say

"Why can't we beat OSU?"

It happened only once since 2000 - And if there was a rematch why would anyone think it would happen this time?

Carr already in the media saying that he's pissed off at Meyer b/c of what he said, etc.

If you ever listen to USC HC Pete Carroll, the Trojans' goal every year is to get to The Grandaddy - USC will be motivated, UM will not, and even though I understand that this will not show anything representative in regards to who should have played in the NC game, it will be nice to see USC get an easy win to shut up all UM and Big 10 apologists

Great point. Michigan should start scheduling out of conferences games like Florida does....against 1-AA opponents. Florida deserves to play in the National Championship game, I've already said that.

Let's just wait and see what happens in January.

If you didnt have team names in there I would swear your talking about USC instead of Texas.

Yea didn't think about that until you said it, but you have a point.
I'd like to see the uninterested/interested meter on both Michigan and USC.

GMAN, I'm itchin to buy you a nice bottle of Vodka
USC/OSU didn't pan out :mj07: :mj07: :mj07:

I think the more interesting contest is USC/MICH,
but a OSU/FLA is OK.

I'm leaning USC or FLA, you wanna take Mich or OSU??? I get the points of course :142smilie
